I'm thinking of asking for a few of either Leslie's or Jessica Smith DVD for Christmas.
Has anyone here tried Leslie's Miracle Miles?
Jessica Smith just came out with a new collection but it is out of stock so I'm thinking of add one of her Walk On sets.

Suggestions or Thoughts?

Seems like one or 2 months ago maybe, someone said they either had or were going to get the Miracle Miles workout.

I have 5 Jessica Smith workouts. One is Walking for Weight Loss Wellness and Energy. It's not part of the Walk On series, but a still a good workout. A warm up, then 30 minutes of steady state cardio. Another 30 minute workout called Power Walk. Includes Hihger intenstity intervals of power walking or jogging and a 5 minute cool down.

I have 3 Walk On dvds' (have not bought a whole set) but you can't go wrong with them, I'm sure. She's so inventive with the movements.

Walk On 21 Day Weight Loss Plan
It has 4 30 minute workouts.... Cardio Core, Low Impact HIIT, Tred and Shred and Stride, Stretch and Relax. Cardio Core and Low Impact HIIT are intense.

    Walk On 6 Mile Mix
    5 minute warm up.
Mile 1: Stead Burn 15 minute walk.
Mile 2: Upper Body Sculpt 15 minute - using a resistance band to sculpt the upper boddy while walking.
Mile 3: Lower Body Toner 15 minute - Uses a resistance band and a mat for lower body toning.
Mile 4: Cardio Interval Abs 15 minute targeted standing ab moves
Mile 5: Total Body Tune up 15 minute uses a resistance band
Mile 6: Speed walk 12 minutes.
    5 minute cool down.

Walk On 15 minute Fast Fat Blasts
    4 15 minute walks
    Burn Fat Fast
    Belly Blaster
    Power Pick Up
    Dance Party

Walk On 5 Mix and Match Miles (This is my favorite)
    Warm up,
    Energy Boost
    Pumped Up Pace
    Brain Training
    Waistline Work
    Jog and Jive
    Cool down and stretch
The brain training workout is really interesting and fun.

    Hope this helps some.
    Ann

PS Be sure and let us know what you get and how you like it.

I purchased the Leslie's Miracle Miles set for half off during the sales around Thanksgiving ;) .

I have tried both of the one and two mile disks. Good workouts. I do like the new band. I previewed the other miles to make sure the disks worked, and they all looked like good workouts. They do seem to be all different workouts from one another, but still very much Leslie's walks. Something new to change things up.

If you need a lighter or stronger strength band FOMI has both a lighter (green) and a stronger (black) band, available on Amazon. They also sell the medium (blue) one. They are called: "7 Ring Stretch and Resistance Exercise Band", by FOMI. From what I can tell they are made the same as the one included in the walk program. I bought the additional green one when I purchased the miracle Mile set. There is definitely a difference between the green and the blue one. I'm happy that I can trade off and/ or use the blue one more as I get stronger.

I took the disks out of the cardboard folder and put them into the plastic disk holders. I didn't like the idea of sliding them in and out every time I wanted to use. I was afraid they might get scratched eventually.

There is a detailed review of each workout on Amazon. Note there are no gloves included with the package as it is being offered now.

@AnnofB, thank you for all the information about your Jessica Smith workouts.

There are times that I feel like I ought to branch out to other instructors for variety and to 'surprise' my muscles, and my brain. I have considered Jessica Smith because of how often you use her DVDs.

I need to dig out my Debbie Rocker DVDs also one day soon.

Hi Mary. Be sure and check out Jessica on youtube as well as her website Jessica Smith TV. I wonder if Debbie Rocker has done anything new? Will have to track her down, lol.

@AnnofB, Great suggestion to check out YouTube for Jessica Smith w/o. I forget that option.

I just checked out Debbie Rocker on Amazon. Her DVDs are quickly dwindling there. Her DVDs are available on Ebay. I couldn't find her on NetFlix or Amazon Prime. Only one of her DVDs are on Amazon video service if someone is subscribed to the Gaia channel.

Her Bio on WebMD hasn't been updated since 2006.

I liked her DVDs and her walking instruction method, and especially that her walks were filmed outdoors at beautiful locations. She always challenged me to workout stronger than I thought I could. I had forgotten to use her DVDs since I came back to MFP last year. Hmmm, I will have to add them to my rotations now.
