Well, launch week was amazing. Meetings were packed, and literally everyone was excited and positive. At one meeting, every chair was taken and there was a line of people across the back of the room standing .... 78 in that one. I was exhausted, but in a very good way!

We have family pics today, and God smiled on us and gave us a fresh dusting of snowfall to make it pretty. Dd21 and her fiance stayed over, as did Anabelle. Dd and her fiance have their engagement photos right after our pic. There will be an abundance of hairspray and makeup dust in the house today!

    I'm with Lou!
Steve, who was the audience that your wife spoke to the other day?
I haven't gotten my mug into the mail yet ... perhaps today?

    Good Morning BBB.
Praying for those in the fires in California.
We had a dusting of snow overnight here - I’ll stay home today and try to get a desk project finished and maybe pull out a few Christmas decorations, start to wrap a few presents, and let the Christmas spirit take over.
Lisa - perfect day for pictures - what fun - let the hairspray flow! Looks like you are going to get a few inches more snow today. I do not know what the new WW program is but everyone around here is very excited.
Lee - how is AB doing?
Bill - I bet it was nice to sleep in your own bed. The new house deal is exciting.
Sam & Dennis - did you both get snow? Strange weather pattern.
David - your travel mug will be used and enjoyed and the bowl will be on our counter everyday <3
Mary - we still have some leaves to get cleared - it was good of your SO to get the last of yours before the snow.
    Do good out there everyone.

    Mornin' BBB.

AB is being handled in Howard, NY this morning by BTG. Looking for a placement. A win would cement her Field Championship.

Minimal snow event for us in NW CT today. I am not very disappointed. I was ready for it, but would rather not have to deal with moving it around.

    Nice mugging there, Raine.

    Off to work.

    Good morning BBB.

I haven't had anything to do with WW in quite a while, but tne scale showed I topped my WW goal weight, yesterday, for the first time in nine years. Maybe I'll pay up and check out the latest "New" program.

Got out in the shop yesterday and worked on a 14-inch platter from a slab of cherry. Three hours work and nearing completion and I made a slight mistake - leading to the platter flying off the lathe and cracking apart. I think I can fix it, but it went from a gift piece to a home "user" in a split second. At least it was fun turning up until then.

    Good Morning!

Lisa, across the country, some judges require convicted DUI offenders to attend a Victim Impact Panel, where they hear victims of impaired driving share their story. Usually there are 2-3 speakers, and it goes roughly 1.5 hours. these offenders see and hear first hand what their actions could cause. Connie does a full presentation with power point, photos, video, etc. These can be very impactful. Connie speaks for three panels, each done quarterly, so she almost does one of these a month. This past one was the final for the year for Johnson County, Kansas. There were about 415 convicted DUI offenders attending. Unless they attend as court ordered, they have not completed their sentence, and could be in trouble with the court. It is awesome. I think better than jail time if nobody was hurt, and no property was damaged. But, Connie has to relive our story each time, and it can be very draining. That is why I am careful to drive her to these events, and I provide as much backup and emotional support as I can. This is an important mission and calling that she has. I stay more behind the scenes in my work with MADD. Thank you so much for asking! Thank you also to this group for the love and support that you have shown us! This is our 8th Christmas without Jacob and Stephanie. We are not "over it", and it is still very hard. Thank you for your love and patience for allowing me to talk about my children from time to time. It does help!

This afternoon, we have our annual candle light vigil in Topeka for MADD. This is a somber, but nice event. There will be about 200 in attendance there.

I received my mug yesterday! Separate post with pic to follow today! Thank you, Dennis!!

    Have a great day, everyone!

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • All the snow was west of us. We just got rain. Our old 'hood (100 miles away) got it hard.
    • Came from the cruise with the start of a cold. Trying the Zicam and hibrination thing. So far so good.
    • Sounds like it is glam day at Lisa's house. I'm sure DD21 is a happy girl.
    • I remember turning a fruit bowl in shop class many moons ago. I got the bottom a little too thin but the shop teacher had me put a stand on the bottom and all was good. My mother displayed that for years.
    • Glad to hear the mug made it Steve.
    • I'm with Lou.

    Good Morning BBB

Snow here, maybe a couple inche's if that. Nice party last night. All us spouses even got $50 amazon card. Very thoughtful!

Steve, Connie... hugs. Christmas for me always tugs a bit harder at my heart, in memory of those cherished yet gone. May your faith, love, family and friends, the community work you do, help to carry you though. But no, I can't imagine one "gets over" the loss of their children.

Today I will prep sugar cookie cut out dough, for tomorrows day with ds2s gf and herDD coming over to bake.

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. I'm cozy here with coffee, fire going,, music on, watching the snow trickle down outside.

    Life is good

    Enjoy your day!

Snowing here as I type. Woo hoo. Bring it on!!!
I’m in the Christmas spirit and will be totally excited when the big check
Comes for the painting. We’re almost done. I think I’ll surprise DH with something “really nice!”
Lou. Open the mug. I’m dying.
Steve I agree with Mary. I don’t think anyone can get over the loss of a child. I can’t imagine the daily suffering. I’m sure your son misses her terribly as well.
Dave. Love your talent. I still want to see the cherry platter
Have fun with family pics lisa.
    Dennis. Feel better.
    Have a snow filled day.

    Good Afternoon,
Low of 34 does not allow for snow to stick, DD who lives in Dennis's old hood had 10" this morning with it still snowing. Should get down into 20's tonight.
Had 4 members re-up this morning and 2 new members which was good for a nasty cold damp day. Zero point chili? who would have thunk? just have to eat within reason.
    Enjoy the Day,
    Sam I am

In the mid 20s here for a low. Crisp early walk and bike ride but did see a bald eagle in a tree.
Yeah the new program seems less cumbersome that recent ones with less counting. Lots of snow and cold weather throughout the country it seems. And the terrible fires in California. YIKES.
Steve we send our love and hugs your way every day.

    Hi all

Busy morning of running errands. Our favorite local outdoor store announced a going out of business sale so we went and picked up some camping dishes and miscellaneous items for a bike trip we are planning for may.

I'm loving freestyle so far. Going to make eating in the road so much easier. Today was a hard boiled egg for breakfast, homemade pizza for lunch (with sausage and ground chicken) and chicken taco soup for dinner. Still have 7 if we make it to the brewery OR tortillas and cheese in my soup if we don't.

Headed for a nap now and then need to pack. Back to St Louis tomorrow. Packed up my mug but still need to get to the post.

Mary - WW sent out a bunch of email promos a while back and they have a promo on the site as well. I think some folks posted links to more generous offers on the refugee board.

Dave - job hunting is hugely different from when I went through it 12 years ago. I remember I was almost as nervous as Steve when he was going through his search a while back because I knew my turn was coming.

Interview has been scheduled for Tuesday afternoon. Heard back from the headhunter attached to the Skype interview. He liked me, so I'm still in the running. Problem is that a couple of the candidates (I'm assuming I'm one of them) got him rethinking the roles he's trying to fill. So, he may be trying to get a Working CFO instead of a Houseplant CFO + controller. Keep your fingers crossed as that's my preferred one because it's so close to home.

    I'm with AB!
