    Some kids had PlayStation, some kids had Xbox. Well in my days we had something called Calico Vision (I think) it was at my aunt & uncle's house and we always played a Smurf game.

    Then came Atari and we actually had one. Playing games like Pong, Centipede, etc. Then sometime in the late 80's we got *the* first original Nintendo. Oh the days of Duck Hunt with the laughing dog who taunted you when you missed your shot. Super Mario Bros where it was rumored if you thrust the controller enough you could magically jump over the flag pole. Did that ever actually happen to anyone? Ahh, good times.

    I didn't have TV game consoles. Only ever had that big desktop with a small screen. It had like 16 colours or something. When we upgraded!!!

    I still have my original furby tucked away. No batteries... Now that I'm older those things remind me of the Gremlins. But as long as I don't feed him after midnight I should be good, right?!

    Does anyone else try to maneuver down a road/driveway backwards, in case they ever have to drive a pregnant woman to the hospital?

    Whoever knows what movie that's from is my new bestie!

    And I really do drive backwards occasionally down my 'rents long driveway to brush up on those skills.

    I had to take my mom to the ER today. while we were waiting we would periodically hear a lullaby over the loud speaker. We asked the nurse about it and she said it means a baby has been born. My heart literally melted every time I heard it. My mom actually cried lmao (she’s fine by the way). I dunno........I’ve been taking care of my mom for so many years, and I’ve spent countless nights in the ER and I’ve witnessed so much suffering in the hospital. It was a really strange, but nice feeling to be reminded that happy moments do happen in the hospital *heart eyes*.

    Hopefully she won't have to go back or her primary doctor can help in the future. I'm glad she was ok.

    Thanks :smiley: Her spine is a mess and she stupidly tried to lift up a box a few days ago and ended pulling a muscle :( She’s so stubborn.

    Aw that is lovely.

    Why is it that mom's are so stubborn about taking care of themselves but still insist we take care of ourselves? I am like that too though, so I guess I can't complain!!
