18 degrees and a wind chill in the single digits - I think we have killed the mosquitoes!
Picking up pepper and cheese tamales and taking them to my favorite (local) vet. (Lee, you are my favorite vet
) She is our team vet and the vet for most law enforcement K9s too - she does a monthly stop with her mobile vet clinic in the town just over from us so we try to visit. I have a healthy Christmas present for her too!
All these wonderful muggings - I love this tradition. Again, thank you for organizing Lisa!

Speaking of DVMs, I'm pretty happy with mine right now too. Lee, you are still my favorite, as well. Sally has a baterial thing going on. Cultures will probably say ring worm. Ugh. Back in her nether regions. Not fun.

Another chilly day in Tumwater. The frost doesn't thaw, so, as it builds from day to day, it starts to look like snow in our yard. Can't complain about the sun, though.0 -

The corporate jet arrives late this morning and the chaos they will bring. Board of directors meeting and walk through tomorrow. And then I’m taking a few days off.0 -

Raine, you crack me up! Ha ha! "Killed the mosquitoes" ... what a great way to find gratitude in this weather! Our schools are cancelled today, which kinda surprises me. It doesn't look that bad out there to me, but then I haven't left the house yet, either. I will soon.

So, to catch my non-fb friends up on my recent events, I ended up with a nasty chemical burn in my eye on Sunday night. It. Was. Awful. I spent the evening back and forth on the phone with Poison Control, and ended up not having to go to the ER. It looked horrific, but it's almost normal again now.
Also, we had our family pics on Saturday, and the weather was exactly what I'd hoped for. I'll attach it here. I am super-happy about it! Photobucket was doing a 90% off sale on printing yesterday, so I ordered a 24x36 wrapped canvas of it that would normally cost $619 for $74 (including shipping). I can't wait for it to arrive!
This weekend we have a wedding to attend on the other side of the state. It's one of our good friends from college, and this is his first marriage. He's 48 now, and I'm so happy for him! And I have a fabulous new navy blue velour dress and new bling to wear.
