Mornin' BBB.
Luv me sum "Star" bucks, LOL! Love the beautiful family photo too. Just beautiful.
Lisa, I so know the feeling about needing to touch or speak to every person when you post. Sometimes I have time, sometimes I don't. Much of the time, I just post a flyby update about me. Or grab onto the theme of the thread.
Met a professional Santa this weekend in his civies. He was very cheery.
15 degrees here. Buttasscold walk with Tess.
BBB OP ;-)

Morning gang
Headed home later this afternoon and then straight to my 18 yo nieces birthday party. I promised her a “;” tattoo if she stayed clean for 18 months (from self harm) so unless there is something I don’t know she will be getting that soon. I am sure she hasn’t forgotten.
Planning to take the rest of the week off except for a couple of small changes to the document I sent off for proof. I will do it tonight or early tomorrow as I want it to go to stores with their weekly newsletter. It is so much easier to work from the desk computer especially for the photoshopping that needs done0 -
Good Morning!
Dr. Lee, speaking of buttasscold walks with the dog, our local DVM said to spread a topical antibacterial spread on the dog, then take her out for a walk to work it into the skin. Easy for her to say! It has been either very cold or very windy this week. Ugh!
Loved the Starbucks cartoon. Today is a "double-star" day. I may have to stop by.
Have a great day!

Good morning BBB.
Doctor wrote the required referral for ortho hand specialist consultation. Now I wait for that to be processed. It might take a while to get an appointment. As we aging Baby Boomers face increasing numbers of these over-use issues, we tax the availability of specialists. I am told thee is a long wait to see the specialist in the Army hospital - and an even longer one to see one in the local civilian medical community. So it goes.

#VAfailure this grates my gears more than anything! WHY are we not taking better care of those who served? There should be a concierge waiting to take you from the primary to the ortho specialist in a matter of days (not weeks/months/years). This is insane to me!
UGH! Fix health care now!!!!0 -
Just imagine this younger generation with all the thumb action texting and keyboarding they'll have been doing their entire life, going to be some issues with hands, fingers, etc. as they age, I'd bet.
Good Morning !
Love the cartoon!
Snow here today, coming in harder this afternoon. Figures, I have a birthday dinner planned for/with my bff tonite. I don't like driving in bad weather. As I get older, I like it less and less.
I forgot to wish those celebrating, a Happy First day (yesterday), now also Second day of Hanukkah !0 -
Good morning.
Lisa - I do the occasional shout out, but I'm usually more of a post & runner.
Speaking of...
Interview went okay yesterday. Not great. No warm and fuzzy feeling. He seemed distracted and took two phone calls during our meeting - totaling 20 minutes! Who does that?!? We did squeeze in a game of Jewish Geography, so who knows...
I also had a phone screen yesterday afternoon that went very well. I'd met the guy before at a networking event a few months ago. I should get a call back.0 -
Good Morning,
1 hour surgery turned out to be 2 1/2 hours, used local which started wearing off before finished. Arm and hand in large bandage and brace where use of right hand is very limited. Once healed should have good mobility of wrist down road will need to address arthritis in hand. Thank you everyone for thoughts and prayers.
Dave, I hope you are able to get some relief soon; right now I'm questioning what the heck I've let them do but I'm sure in a few days it will be much better.
Dennis, how does Chris like new WW program?
Lisa, super family photo!!! glad eye is better without permanent damage.
Steph, enjoy time off you have worked hard for it.
Folks think it is an issue getting healthcare now, just wait till we have universal healthcare with government controlling all and good medical professionals finding other professions where they will be rewarded for their work. Many good doctors already refuse to accept medicare and Medicaid because it is not worth their hassle to get paid.
TO LOU & RAINE HAPPY HANUKKAH!!!
Enjoy the Day,

Good morning BBB friends.
- Drove neighbor to the airport this morning and now visiting friend at Emory hospital. He had a pretty severe stroke. He's asleep and I'm enjoying some Starbucks.
- DW is with me. I 'get'to go shopping afterwards.
- Skip, short waits and universal healthcare are oxymorons.
- Kris is doing well after one week on WW. Likes the zero pooxymoron.
- I'm with Lou.0 -
Skip, I am not going to the VA for my medical care. I could, but, with a major Army Medical Center down the road, it is easier to go there - where my DW is treated, too - rather than add to the burdens of the VA.
Sam, we'll have to agree to disagree. In my experience, government workers always provide better service than civilian contractors - and always at a lower price, too. Their motivation is to do as much as possible with the resources at hand. Civilian businesses motivation is to do as little as they can get away with, to maximize profit. As I say - we'll agree to disagree.0 -
Cheeeeese louise Lisa that is just a great cartoon and lifted my spirits.Without getting too political I have to say that I was treated great in Australia with their health care system. Much quicker and excellent service and with lots of compassion too. Instead of taking drugs and waiting to see a dentist the next day the dentist came in in the middle of the night and fixed my tooth on the spot. Some countries have figured it out and do a good job I think. OK sorry and I will step off the soapbox.
•Ts and Ps for your friend and their stroke Dennis
•Happy Hanukkah to all who celebrate. Always made sense to celebrate this dark time of year with all manner and festival of lights.
Have a warm, hugs abounding day all you BBBers.1 -
Good evening.
I too usually post about what I’ve got going on. I don’t intend to be a narcissist. Maybe it comes easy for me?’
I usually read through the posts and comment on what I can remember.
I’m baking cookies tonight. Little short bread ones with a cherry on top and Mexican wedding cakes.
The electrican came yesterday. I have new can lights, a ceiling fan and now a motion light that’s on the drive.
Mom set off the house alarm yesterday. Errrrrr. She called me immediately and was mad because it was set. Ha. Go figure.
Sam, sure hope you heal up nicely. Are you ok typing??
Loved the cartoon lisa.
Have a great night!!0 -
Lisa - I printed and posted the cartoon on my SBUX bulletin board.... THEY all loved it. Thanks for sharing!
LOVE to hear DM or DMIL stories. They help me appreciate the fact, my DMIL is really a piece of cake to deal with. I ignore her. We stay out of each others way.... and the world remains in balance....
GREAT afternoon at design center picking everything for new house. Came in $15k cheaper than I expected - so HAPPY DANCE!
HH with friends from a class I took a few years ago! I closed out my tab THREE times before actually leaving. Yup - it was good!
Cheers,
