I may not be around here quite so much anymore, but I'm still thinking about you all...
Have a great (whats left of) Christmas (yep, I know, I'm late to the party AGAIN) and a happy new year - get stuck into the Festive 500 from Rapha... or the Festering500 if you're more into food and drink excess at this time of the year...
Hopefully, I (maybe with a little help from some friends) will be able to pull something together - if not for winter training, then at least for the spring classics...
oh - BTW, they kick off in around 48 days time...

any offer of assistance in the planning/organising/keeping score for the Classics gratefully recieved...
I'd like to keep SOME of the feel of the previous classics - though the cold weather bonuses and gradient points were a complete PITA to keep upto - requiring pretty much every ride to be manually inspected and pored over to check the eligeability. Also, I'd like to cut things back to rides on the actual event day only - with weekend and mid-week rides it's difficult to keep track and keep up to date on the scoreboards otherwise.
So - I'd like to keep
a) the photo bonuses - its that "treasure hunt" vibe that really makes the classics for me
b) food/drink treat bonuses - something to make me smile after 4 hours in filthy conditions
c) theme-ing the points to the nature of the "real" parcours... so, Cobbles and Windmills for P-R, Gravel for Strade Bianche, Stupid amounts of hills for RVV and fallen leaves for Lombardia...
but if anyone has any suggestions of anything extra to bring to the table, and/or is prepared to do the points recording, then PLEASE let me know.
