Been a while Since I started us off.
Lee, must be hankering to get out in cold, me I'm fine hanging low.
Feel for those of you dealing with heavy snow, ice and extreme cold.
I'm feeling much better today. Still believe we will pass on our usual New Years entertaining.

Morning~
Too much time outside yesterday running errands. Our temps plummeted to single digits. Despite the layers and despite the Delsym, Alka Seltzer Severe Cold & Flu, and accompanying NyQuil - I feel worse today than ever! I think I ought to review my last will and testament for accuracy one more time - the end is surely near.
Sam - we too aren't doing much for NYE. I may go to VFW for a little while - but won't stay till midnight...

Good morning! It's my anniversary! 26 years ago Dh and I promised to love each other forever, and I'm so glad we did! He is truly the best thing that ever happened to me, by far. This is our most current theme song:

I'm trying to get un-decorated before Anabelle's b-day party Saturday. Also, I am meeting a member this morning from one of the meetings I dropped this fall. I MISS THOSE PEOPLE! It will be nice to spend time with her today! Then there's my WW meeting, and Bible study tonight. Those things should fill up my day nicely.

Lisa, congratulations on your 26th anniversary! Connie and I will be married 28 years tomorrow. Lisa, do you have any big plans to celebrate? Connie and I are going to a nice dinner and local hotel tomorrow, as I have a short day at work.
I have most of the beans counted for the annual inventory. Today is about getting year end bills paid and my payroll check written. Short day tomorrow.

- Lisa, way to go with the WI. Most of us need to shed a few holiday pound. The real trick for me is to get disciplined again.
- Skip, you can't kick the bucket. You are committed to a new house.

I too was a fan of assisted suicide in days past but today I’m on the fence. I’m feeling good enough to get back to work for a short stent. Still blowing my nose and I look like Rudolph.
Probably going down to the neighbors for NYE. Not sure, waiting to see how I feel.

Interview - or whatever it is - starts in a few. I got ZERO sleep last night. My eyes are so puffy, I think a raccoon just hit on me.0 -
It was an interview. The CFO that I met with in October has lost the CEO's confidence and they're looking to make a change.0

That can be scary Lou, how long has CFO been in place? and what do they expect? I remember turning down a controllers position because they had 3 controllers in 3 years, glad I did friend that took position only lasted 8 months. One can make sound financial recommendations and be very good at reporting and accounting but occasionally there is a company that wants yes folks and miracle workers even though they go against sound advice.
Mucinex along with drops of On Guard, Frankincense and Melaleuca and lots of fluids have me almost backup to par. Sorry alcohol does not count as a fluid for hydration.

I started to type a hello before, but got interrupted. Im in the office working my half day I was short to take the full week off, lol. Noon, and Im out of here until next Wed!
Not that I advocate one way or another, just wondered; of everyone sick here, who did or did not get a flu shot this season? My inquiry mind wants to know.

DS1 hit the highway back to Columbus OH this morning. So good to have him for a few days. We sent him off with dinner with just the four of us last night. Nice to have my guys all to myself.
My NYE plans are none, just how I want them!
We watched on Netflix last night "What happened to Monday". It reminded me a bit of Hunger Games, sort of. I give it a 6, only because the last few Netflix movies scored between zero and 2 for me. ugghhh. I have dvr'd Happy Feet and Finding Nemo. Maybe they'll score higher for me LOL.

Still freezing here today. It is supposed to make it to 20. I left my suitcase at the hotel and will pick it up later. I didn’t want my toiletries getting that cold for that long. My project not going well so planning to stay all day today instead of half day. Will spend the night with sister and family.
Not sure about NYE plans. Some friends invited us to a masquerade party but it is supposed to be -17 that night and I would prefer to stay in. We will see. I sure it would be fun.0 -

I as well as DW received the super flu shot since we are over 65.
I have BIG plans for NYE: sweats on, movie on TV, gas logs burning, sugar free hot chocolate and bed by 10.0 -

*Kitten* it was cold in Bridgeport harbor this am. We had to break ice to get into position with decoys and boat. Birds were not impressed. Only one mallard between 3 guns. Flights were few and far between. Too cold for dogs. I was surprisingly OK, but had so many layers on that I could barely move.
Had a great bowl of hot pho for lunch.

I got the flu shot this year and last. Probably won’t do it again. It’s a guess and cdc missed it.
On the couch now with bourbon and NyQuil. Aka. Sweaty Italian. Who gives a “kitten if it doesn’t work. Ha.

Well, I have received a flu shot every year since 1977, thanks to my uncle Samuel. I haven't had the Flu since 1976 (A-Victoria was the variety - really bad; on my back with a 103 degree fever for two weeks). I don't have influenza, now. Just the mother of all colds. Maybe it's the mother-in-law of colds. It just won't leave.0
