Sam, you cut in line....
Morning everyone. Snow just starting here in Central Mass. The forecast is for 10-14" and winds up to 45 mph, so I'll probably be snowed in the next day or two. Woke up just now to no water in the building. Then Condo assn called and says there's a break in a water main and the town is "working on it." (I've seen them "work" before...) I'm heading into the next town (where the nearest supermarket is) and buying several big jugs of water. I have a camping filter I can use with melted snow if I have to. Haven't done winter camping in a few years, but if we lose electricity might have to.
Store opens at 7. Will also try to fill some 5 gal buckets from friends' house this morning if I can.
Have a good day.0 -
Mornin' gents.
Yes, Sam cut in, but he got the year right.
Storm hasn't even really hit and you already have a water outage, Mike. Dang. Batten down the hatches. NW CT will only get half the snow total that they are predicting for Central Mass.
Got generator at the ready.
Bill, heal up man. Darn piriformis. If it ain't one thing, its another. If you were a dog, I would prescribe cage rest until you healed up, then PT.
19 degrees here this am and it seems balmy compared to near zero temps we have had last ten days. Sadly temps are supposed to plummet again after this storm rolls through.

Good Morning!
Mike, that does not sound fun at all! Sounds like one heck of a storm on the right coast. Here on the central coast, on Saturday, we might get above freezing for the first time in three weeks.
I have started running again. I've made it a week, injury free! Bill, my 60th birthday is May, 2020. I am determined to run a full marathon for my birthday. Your journey is a big inspiration for me.
Have a great day!

Good morning gentlemen.
I seem to have regressed, this morning, health-wise. Took DW to the doctor, yesterday. The diagnosis for her ailment was "viral crud." "That's the tachnical, medical term," the doc joked. Well, this "viral crud" has dragged on far too long. It's feeling like a permanent condition.
Great goal, Steve. Just remember to take it easy. As we get older, the chance of over-use injury increases. Have a training plan, and don't exceed the plan. I'm preaching to the choir, I know.
Feeling for you, Mike. Be glad you have the skills, knowledge and experience to deal with such situations.0 -
Good Morning! Great news Steve. Get a good training plan & trust it. Develop a good stretching habit and practice hydration routines.
Lee...don't let DW here about this cage rest thing
Mike...wow. Indoor camping time.0 -
I now have flu.0
