    Good Morning BBB.
Our Nest thermostat is doing “seasonal” adjustments in conjunction with our energy provider so when I woke up our house was 56 degrees instead of our nighttime 59 degrees. Brrrrrrrr
For those that have the day off for Martin Luther King's birthday - enjoy.
I hope all that are still sick are feeling better this morning.
    Do good out there everyone.

    Mornin' BBB.

Great time with DS#1 and friends yesterday.

Mary, somehow missed your comment about the dog digging to China. Liver and onions would probably distract her from digging (wink).

Happy MLK day! Unfortunately I do need to go to work.

56 degrees is a bit chilly.

    BBB OP ;-)

    Good Morning!

Happy Birthday, Lee! I hope that even though you have to go to work, that you have just an awesome birthday celebration!!

I'm at work. Sled ride was not too bad this morning. Ugh!

    Have a great day!

Evening at friends for a neighborhood chili cookoff. They took this really serious. Trophies and awards and all. Lots of fun!

Purged basement of some furniture I didn't want yesterday! Feel good about that. Packed up about 10 boxes. Ready for movers to come in two weeks to purge and stage house.

    Cheers~

Ha! Love the photo skip. Was going to post a photo a friend took yesterday at the restaurant we had lunch (me blowing out a candle on my dessert), but it disappeared off my phone. It looked a lot like the above photo, LOL!

    Good morning BBB.

    Happy birthday, Lee!

Made a big pot of "chili" here, yesterday. The quotes are out of respect for my years in Texas. There, my recipe, which is made with ground beef and includes beans, would never be considered chili. Tastes good, though. Today I'll portion it out into single-serving plastic containers and put them in the freezer.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • Happy Birthday Lee. I'm glad the wimmen keep track of these things.
    • Breakfast with the ROMEOs. Always good.
    • We are getting a new neighbor today. The folks across the street are adopting Rudy, a 5 year old hund that needed a new home.
    • The world would be a better place if Dr. King was still with us. After years of inprovements in race relations things appear to be on the decline.
    • It's comforting to know that Steve is counting beans today.
    • It is obvious you do not want me rooting for your favorite football team. The Viking - Saints game was wild.
    • Dave, you made chili with beans. Beans are something you add to chili.
    • Have a great day everyone.

Good morning, folks and happy birthday Lee!

Today's my last day to sit on my rump and do nothing before joining all the other working stiffs again. Subway lady and I have already shared our teary goodbye. The snow is making me question if I should drive to Monticello today instead of tomorrow. It's supposed to snow again tomorrow morning and it's a 3 hour drive at a minimum to get there.

Lou must be on his retreat and enjoying new conference and the pleasantries of meeting new people, new faces, mindless small talk.... Yup, I' suspect he's enjoying!

I made chili in the crock pot this morning. It has beans, two types, and ground turkey and onions and celery and hot chili peppery seasoning special blend that provides just enough heat. Yummmmm.

The snow continues to fall here. I should be working from home today!

Who buys NON antibacterial soap for the restrooms and kitchen at the office, or for anywhere for that matter? Apparently our bean counter does. And this is NOT acceptable. Esp during cold and flu season, during any season for that matter!! "I thought it was all the same"?? huhhh really, no you didn't. You likely want to same a damn dime and make us all sick. And of course she's the one hacking over there. Ok, vent over, Im bringing some antibacterial soap in here tomorrow! And I'll expense it, along with my mileage to go buy it too, so there.
No, Im not crabby at work today, no, not at all.

    Morning gang

scooped the drive twice in two days...thankfully both times an inch or so and super fluffy. Headed to Denver later today.

I was just whining about my house being 61. I didn't turn the heat up today since I am leaving soon, but it is getting super cold in here...sitting on a heating pad right now.

    Happy Birthday Lee.

Wow happy birthday Lee and what a bonfire skip! Gosh Mary I wouldn't worry too much about anti-bacterial soap. It really is just the washing off of bugs that does the trick or at least that's what the docs say. Thorough soap and water does the trick.
    Stay safe and warm BBBers.

I had to check it out.

According to WebMD... Antibacterial soaps don't work any better than regular ones - and they damage the environment.

And antibacterial soaps help make other bacteria stronger...

I don't know how y'all get away with having the thermostat set so low! Anything below 68 and Cecilia throws a fit around here.

    Happy birthday Lee!!!
I missed Lisa’s flowers. Are they on fb? I’ll look
We keep the house here at 68 in the am and 60 when no one is here. 60 to sleep. We heat 3600 sq ft $60 a month. I’ll take it.
Hope all had a great day. I’m sending 2 boys back to school. Lots of laundry and cleaning and cooking. Sheesh.
    Have a terrific night
