This is winter in the desert in the Southwest United States6 -
This is a photo of winter outside my office which is located west of Chicago, Illinois in the northern part of the USA.
I am still in Phoenix. There is a blizzard in Chicago so I changed my flight until Monday
Have a great weekend!

We've had a wonderful winter here in Phoenix. Happy @RangerRickL you and Rose were able to get out and enjoy it. Not sure I'm looking forward to summer since it never "cooled" off.3

This is today in the most easterly city in North America. There has been very little snow, way below average, but a cool morning at -10c. These guys don’t mind the weather when they get together!11 -
I woke up to what I thought was my husband at the door cursing. Nope just a nightmare so at 6 am I went out and did the driveway. I am so tired of winter.

I agrees with @2020pinktogo - I'm tired of winter. Though, as cold weather goes, your picture does look invigorating if not downright enjoyable. Your dogs certainly look as thought they're enjoying it!

Exercise: Yes. (38 min HIIT)
Calories: Yes.
Tracking: Yes.
My hometown where I grew up also has freezing and snowy winters. It is also located in a mountain region. I remeber the roads to our village remaining bolcked for almost 6 months when I was little. Plenty of creative games and storytelling for us the children. I have 8 siblings. They were fun times.
The city I live in now is down in the south. We have warm winters here. But I hate the summer. Too hot for my taste.5 -
Yes x 3. Leslie Sansone 32 minute 2 mile walk.
We had a thief at our bird feeder today...disguised as white tailed deer! They are actually quite common in our back yard. Often see a half dozen at a time. They are definitely not driver friendly...and cause lots of damage in this area. Driving was my biggest fear when I was traveling to and from work. Fortunately, retired now...so not on the roads as often!

It's great seeing photos and getting a feel for how international a little group we have here. I'm still loving winter so anyone who doesn't want theirs can send it here!
I am achy tonight. I had a session with a wonderful (pushy, relentless) trainer this morning. My strength work has been hit or miss since I retired, so I will go see this guy once a month or so to get back to progress and build up some more muscle. Then I can eat more! In any case he set me up with some good challenges and goals. And worked my carcass for an hour!
So exercise - yes.
Tracking - yes.
Within calories - yes.5 -
Thank you to everyone here being so inspiring! I am working on being determined to achieve healthy goals
Today I was only supposed to volunteer at a 5k run, but in order to support my association (Kiwanis), I participated in the run. As I only started to walk last Tuesday (slowly with friend), my goal was to finish it within an hour. I was the last one to cross the line and finished in 51 minutes (everyone ran, only few walkers were right in front of me). All participants in their 50s, 60s and 70s are fit and they seem to truly enjoy exercise regularly. Watching them, I realize I am really out of shape and hope I will have that attitude one day. Promise myself to keep on walking, then maybe slowly jogging... thinking about joining few more 5k walk/run to motivate myself.
Exercise: yes, 5k
Calories: yes, and just realize I need to stop eyeballing foos... had a container of soup today and found out what I thought was 1 cup portion... was more like 2 cups. So, this coming week I am going to measure everything and get a better sense in portion!!!

Pass day #1
My son turned 6 yesterday so today we celebrated and had a house full of guests from morning until bedtime. No exercise and surely the small slices of two different kinds of homemade ice cream cakes were not within budget. But it was a wonderful and exhausting day!7 -
Pass day #2! I worked out but went over on my calories!4

Today I walked the dogs and then did an hour of bush/invasive plant clearing at The Wetlands. It was hard graft and confirms my belief that manual labour is not my strong suit!4 -

Hope everyone has a good weekend, it is a holiday one here in BC, family day. Was suppose to have company but the flu struck so they could not come. Oh well hopefully they will come next weekend....Hus to everyone that wants one4 -
Yes x 3 here, but not a great day on the eating and drinking front - far too many carbs and wine. Have gained half a kilo overnight. I know it's not real fat gain, and I know exactly why it happened, but still depressing on a damp and dismal Sunday (and it's not even light yet, puppy demanded a wee and breakfast and is now curled up asleep in his crate while I am wide awake). Still, some lovely photos to cheer me up.4
