Are you looking more along the lines of writing something, or do you just want to be able to display photos attractively? Also, do you have any experience with blogging or posting images on the Web up to this point?
In my own case, I host all of my images at Flickr.com and use a plug-in for my blog software - Wordpress, which is free - to display the images in my blog. You can see my site at: http://www.mccormickphotography.com/ I also maintain a site for my daughter using a similar set up: http://www.ashlynmccormick.com/
Let me know if that's what you're trying to do?

Am just looking for something to display my photos. I already use Blogger for another couple of Blogs and was wondering if I could use to do something.
I have a little knowledge with posting images on the web.0 -
I actually prefer services like flickr.com or 500px.com for straightforward image display. I would be happy to dispense with my regular sites, but I still do a bit of commercial work here and there. I'm probably leaning more towards 500px these days.0

Flickr gives you a terabyte of storage for free, but they mix ads in with your photos. You can get an ad free option for $50 year, which is what I pay for right now. Google+ gives you unlimited storage if you don't mind keeping your photo size under 2048px across. Their display pages aren't as pretty, but free is pretty compelling. The other nice thing about Google+ is, if you decide to build your own site, you can use plugins to display your G+ photos in the site. For example:

That's the site I built for our school division's photo club. If you look at the individual portfolios, all of the images are actually stored on, and loading from each school issued Google accounts (Google Apps for Schools). This works with ANY Google account, however.0
