  • @rabidhamster87 the lunch is this Friday coming so not got to it yet! I went out with some different friends yesterday and we ended up in a burger bar so that wasn't highly healthy either! It clearly didn't do too much damage though because I had a 5.5lbs loss this week! Am so thrilled! 2.5 stone down. Only another 8 to go!

    @kwiris0328 if you can get one I really recommend the treadmill. I absolutely love mine and although it's very early days I can see me happily walking along on it for the next 20 years! Assuming it lasts that long of course! My next goal is to introduce inclines so that I can do the programmes it comes with. I wish I'd found the money for it years ago!

    @cnavarro002 Thank you for the kind words. I've come to the conclusion that people are jerks and that I'll use their spite to fuel me. It's working really well for me at the moment. I just don't understand why people are so cruel though. There are way worse things to be in life than fat!

    well you all are running rings around me ....right now I am just trying to stay on my diet , I did buy those rubber bands and I am working on those 5 to 10 mins on the legs and arms , everyday , and I am doing more in the house , laundry , cleaning and such , and I am walking more when I go to the store , I have never used a electric chair , but i do have a handicapped sticker , so I could park really close to the store , I am trying not to use it , and park away from the store and walk it. Really I am not doing much in the way of exercise. BUT I will . Right now I am just happy to be moving moving .

    I’ve officially called Sunday my rest day. I told myself when I started at the gym that I was going to go for a few weeks with no rest days because I want to make going a habit... well, with only a couple of days off due to weather and illness, I feel like I’m in a good routine and need a rest day. I’m going to plan on doing any physical/labor intensive chores on Sundays so that I get some exercise those days, but no gym.

    Another happy update!! My mom has started talking about getting a gym membership so I got her one for Valentine’s Day!! We’re going this afternoon to get her set up. We’re going on a vacation in the fall and I want us both to be in good shape for all of the walking we’ll be going. We’re going to Washington DC and that entails lots of trekking around to museums and such. We went a few years ago and it was tough for me, but this time will be totally different. :smile:

    Your enthusiasm has rubbed off on your mom! How sweet of you getting her a membership at the gym. I bet you and your mom will really enjoy DC, since you'll be up for all the great walking around places there.
