Man I don’t get to start us off often.
Got up at 3 to head to the airport. Blizzard coming to Nebraska and Omaha is on the edge. Fog rolling in too. I’m hopeful I’ll get to take off before the storm. Headed to Houston.
Going to tour the new store today then meetings all day on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Didn’t sleep well last night so hope to catch a nap on the flight and maybe one this afternoon before the group dinner at 7.0 -
Mornin' BBB.
Good luck getting home, Steph!
Mary, how's your head this morning after two vodka presses and no dinner?
Game cook off yesterday afternoon. Venison chili made mild for Bob. Will take to him this evening. Then made Chilindron with pheasant (Spanish red pepper stew with any type of game). Came out perfect. Did all cooking on outdoor grill since weather was nice. DW hates it when I cook inside. I never clean up to her standards.
Great AFC championship game...couldn't stay awake for NFC game, had a couple of scotches while cooking and then a glass of wine with stew for dinner. Instant lights out once in front of the TV relaxed.
Skip, that is a hugeasshouse.
BBB OP ;-)0 -
Morning
Good luck steph!!
Lee, the stew looked mighty tasty. No one cooks here but me. I even grill.
Tonight we will be having chicken lettuce wraps. I haven’t made them in awhile but mine are terrific!!
I’m tracking like a fool. 12 days until the cruise. Would like to lose a little.
Have a stellar day.0 -
How many sq ft is that house going to be?0

Good Morning BBB.
I posted earlier but it got poofed.
Rain here and 41°.
Mary - it sounds like you have everything under control downtown. Enjoy.
Bill - Gibsons is a Chicago style steakhouse with big, in-house aged prime beef, huge sides, a wonderful bar with a piano. Their first location was on Rush Street but now they have several other locations.
Lee - The pictures of your stew or mouthwatering. I bet it was great.
Steph - safe travels.
Bill - keep the construction pics coming!
Do good out there everyone.0 -
Kelly - we have never cruised Alaska but my brother did several years ago and his observation was that the whales were more active around the smaller cruise ships. It is definitely on our list!0

Good morning BBB friends.
All the travel talk, tires me out. I hate airports.
Never have taken a cruise. But I did ride an Alaskan ferry from Haynes to Prince of Whales Island and back, years ago, on a steelhead fishing trip. That was 24 hours on the ferry, each way, with a bunch of stops. Little towns were more pleasant with a couple dozen ferry passengers than they would be with a couple thousand cruise ship tourists, I think. Saw several pods of orcas along the way.

Good morning.
Sitting in a new (to me) Subway this morning. I've decided that I may need to be one of "those people" who carry a backpack as my leather messenger bag doesn't play well in the rain. Cecilia dropped me at the train to save me some of the soaking.0 -
Your cooking/grilling sounds great Lee. Hope for a good trip to Houston Steph.
Pourin cold rain in PDX with lots of dumping snow in Mts.0 -
Good morning BBB Friends.
- So after the field trip today is Lou's first day at the 'real' school and it rains. I'm with Lou.
- Mary, how 'bout we meet up for dinner the Sunday night before the 2019 show in Atlanta? I'll drag Sam along.
- Patriots mount a late comeback against the Jaguars. Jeesh, who saw that coming?
- Eagles surprise Vikings in a real smackdown. Can Foles and crew upend Brady? That'll be an uphill battle.
- I had breakfast with the ROMEOs this morning. I think we could solve the budget crisis. Just sayin....
- Four car garage. I am envious Skip.

Morning~
Started off day with a three hour session at SBUX with 6 other furloughed brothers. We didn't even have to pay for our coffee. This will be our ritual for the short term.... Sigh.....
Ironically DW up and off to work this morning. Don't think that isn't causing interesting conversations. She's retired and doing a full-time sub duty while DH is home on furlough...
6200sf total. 6br/6.5ba is total... Enough space to put DMIL in a wing and not have to see/hear
Mary - have fun!
Gibsons sounds like my kind of place! I have a few days open in my social calendar....anyone??? Gibsons???
Cheers,0 -
Good Morning,
Taking a vacation day, need to use 8 vacation and 13 sick days before June 26.
6200 sf is large but still not large enough to get away from in laws unless you can lock doors to different wing and keep separate entrance. If I lock basement door DMIL goes around house.
Steph, hope you are able to get nap in.
Lou welcome to the working stiff world again, it's over rated.
Mary looking forward to seeing you next year, will let Dennis drag me to Atlanta to see you.
We were planning an Alaskan cruise late summer or early fall but rates to Europe are so low may try river cruise there this year and Alaska next.
Waiting for plumber to call, leak from pressure regulator. Called them Monday last week and they had so many frozen pipes did not make it.
Enjoy the Day,
Sam I am0 -
Yeah skip I remember being furloughed for a few days while working at the V.A. Pretty sure I showed up anyway and eventually it all worked out. Be nice if they docked the Senators and Congressmen and didn't restore their wages. OK maybe I am too mean here but just saying.0
-
It's been a good day in Chi town. Boss man gave me an annual raise and a cash bonus today.
I look forward comedian Dennis and Sam in Atlanta next January.
My feet hurt, even with shoe inserts.
Ping pong bar tonite.
Travel safe Steph.
Got 8hrs sleep, felt fine this am...0 -
Lol I meant coming to Atlanta... though comedians was funny too.0
-
The goose doesn't give me hangovers.0
-
Sam - you gotta make plans to link up with us while in ATL in May. We are trekking with another couple to see the new Suntrust Park and hopeful to catch Dennis too.
We'll be at Ritz Carlton downtown (not Buckhead).... First week of May....0 -
Skip, is your home close date changing the date of your Braves trip?0
-
Nope. Closing date scheduled for 21 May....
Not losing opportunity to see beloved Braves two years in a row in ATL0
