I'm sorry I've been MIA! I've just been busier than usual, then WW gave us yet another forum that we have to keep up with, and something had to give for a bit. I preached last night, and the prep was taking a lot of my time, so that will help to free me up a little this week. It went really, really well, too. In fact, we have a meeting after the service, and my message became the topic. So, I got to hear about 50 people share their thoughts about it and how it impacted them. It was validating and affirming for me. :)

I admit that I have not kept up at all, but I can comment on yesterday's posts.
Lee, I agree that it is so beautiful how you are so committed and caring of your patients. When Dave mentioned James Herriot, I had to agree wholeheartedly. I read all those books as a kid, and you ARE him.
Raine, where are you headed? I hope the weather is beautiful for you!
Skip, thank you again for the e-mail. I felt so loved! And where, exactly, is the new house being built now?
Mary and Steph, great going with all the food prep! I made our lunches (white chicken chili), but I didn't have time to do any dinners yet. Hopefully tonight I can work on those.
Kelly, what did dh get? You folks love your cars!

    Mornin' BBB.

Thank you for the comparison to JH. I too read all his books and still aspire to be like him and do good works.
Springer spaniel puppies, eight healthy pups in all. Bred to same dog as Babe was bred too.

    Lou, very good point, LOL!

Great to see you, Lisa. We do understand how busy you must be, we just miss you.

Kelly, saw they found an Indiana couple in the snow that have been missing since before Christmas. Murder-suicide? Not much in the article I read, just that they were found in an embrace.

Millennial interview was hilarious because it rings true. Hope your DW is feeling better after you nursing her all day yesterday, Skip.

Any news on Jack's February work schedule? Was thinking I would visit me dad in Jacksonville this Feb...may still happen.

    BBB OP ;-)

    Good morning.
Lee, I never read that story. Maybe someone in this house who keeps up on the news can fill me in.
Lisa, I’m sure you’re covered up with the wedding as well. What was your topic?
Raine, a whole month in Florida?!! Ahhhh
    Have a marvelous day!
    5 days.

    Good Morning BBB.
Several appointments today including meeting with real estate agents to go over showing and open house plan while we are in FL.
Third year that we are spending February in Florida. It will be wonderful when it’s permanent.
I don’t expect to hear anything about the February shoots for Jack as they would have to fly us back and that is not usually in the budget. But you never know. They did fly us back a few years ago.
Lee - I’m not sure how far Jacksonville is from Port Charlotte but I hope we can make it work.
    Do good out there everyone.

    Good Morning!

Wow, lots of people getting to travel in February. I wonder if Kelly has started counting down the days yet? My vacation isn't until May. Hard for me not to start counting down the days.

Skip, sounds like construction moving along. When is the move date?

    Have a great day, everyone!

    Good morning, folks.

Metra decided to run early today for some reason. So, I'm decaffeinated and cold until I make it into the city. The coffee may be abysmal, but it's warm.

    Good morning BBB.

Going through grandchild withdrawals. We get so used to dealing with all the little issues, when we have thm for a few days, that it seems strange when they leave.

More lousy weather, up here, today; Florida is sounding better all the time.

    Morning bbb

Slept amazing last night. Didn’t even move until 7:45. Hooray

Need to map out my big project this morning and buckle down. I must get it finished this week or will be doing photo shopping from a hotel which is super difficult on my tiny tablet.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • Good to catch up with Ms. Lisa. Busy lady.
    • Warm here today but cold tonight.
    • Breakfast with the ROMEOs this morning and I have my annual eye exam this afternoon.
    • Saw Darkest Hour last night. Good movie. Hard to believe how close Britian came to flying the German flag. The whole world would have changed.
    • Envious of my friends heading to FL and the Caribbean. We are going to Savannah for Valentines Day.
    • What's on tap for the May vacation Steve? Gotta have something to look forward to.
    • Have a great OP day.

    Good Morning

Didn't get into office til almost 8 today. Just couldn't abandon my nice warm bed. Its snowing ever so slightly and its colder again. Short lived mild temps the last couple days.

Trying to play email catch up after being gone for a week. blah

Good to see Lisa, you inspire so many with all the many things you are involved with. We miss you! Im now following you on connect. I can use some recipe ideas you've posted :) Your members at ww are lucky to have you!

Guess I'm being taken by SO to the U.P. as they call it (Upper Peninsula Michigan). Maybe in early April? We need a little get away.

We also need to start taking bigger, longer, warmer, out of country vacations. He agrees.

Raine.... onto Florida. " It will be wonderful when it’s permanent." - YES it will! It will happen!!! Are you with the same realtor or did you change with new contract to sell, now? Either way, your house is going to sell, soon!

    Stay warm, be well BBB!

    Raine,
Are you saying that you sold your house on contract? Is that what I’m reading?

My fingers are crossed for you, Raine!!!

Kelly, it was called "Uniquely Qualified: From Mess to Message". It was about getting honest, accepting our whole story instead of trying to clean it up, and believing in God to redeem it and use it for the good of others. He makes all things beautiful, including my worst moments, and He doesn't need ME to change it for Him. In fact, I've actually noticed that He tends to work the biggest miracles through those negative things, the times I failed, when I listen and allow them to be known. When I'm weak, He's strong. And as people, we need authenticity. The last thing we need are more perfect images ... we need real. When I know someone else has gone through something, it gives it perspective, and instead of minimizing or awfulizing it, I can see it for what it is and deal with it in a healthier way. When we allow ourselves to be seen (at the right moments), everyone grows. And the thing that we thought was our darkest moment could make us the hero in someone else's story.
