Looking for some recommendations for authors, space opera or hard sci-fi genre

Have read and enjoyed Iain M Banks and Stephen Baxter.

I'd be interested in any other recommendations!

    Based on your interest I recommend any and ALL of Scott Sigler's books. I am a hardcore nerd/geek what have you and i can't get enough.

    Timothy Zahn. Anything by him, not just his Star Wars stuff. Oh, and if you do like him, "like" his page on Facebook. He's hilarious; such a geek. :laugh: :bigsmile:
