Anyone else deal with a neuroma of the foot?

I have given up running as it creates foot pain for me due to a neuroma. I need to get past that. I also know if I lose weight then my neuroma doesn’t act up as much. I just want to get Back to training. I have run four half marathons and still have a dream of running at least one full marathon.

I had something I assumed was a neuroma that I had to baby for a year or more. At some point, I had some other traumatic injury that kept me inactive for a few months. The neuroma pain just went away.
Another friend of mine (very fast runner, sub 2:30 marathon guy) had his surgically removed. He lost a year of running, but recovered completely.0 -
My husband had Morton's Neuroma. It's often caused by shoes that are too narrow, so that is the first thing you need to work on. A pad or insert can often help. Go to a doctor to see if you need an orthotic. Surgery is a last resort, because it cuts the nerve, so you lose feeling in the bottom of your foot. That can have consequences.0

I had/ve neuroma. I just stopped running for two weeks and it gets better. If I do my long runs back to back then it comes back.0
