As martial artists who are also members of a WL and fitness website, it can be helpful for us to remain accountable to each other, and share training ideas.
Any time you participate in class, or practice out side of class, post here and let everyone know. You can write something as simple as "Went to sparring class... got my licks in", or get into as much detail on the practice as you'd like.
This post gets rebuilt every week, to remind us to approach each practice/training/class with a fresh perspective:
- Do today what others won't, tomorrow do what others can't.

No classes yet, but I have started training for our annual fitness challenge. It is 2 minutes per exercise and half the exercises include a technique. I don't know if it counts, but I am going to be focusing on that until the Fitness challenge1

I had a great week.
Sunday: 5km fun run (walked part) and my first river mile swim!!! Considering that I don't actually train swimming at all and rarely run, I was impressed to finish both!
Tuesday night: normal BJJ class plus an hour of rolling before.
Wednesday morning: MMA team session. I was late so missed warm up, then the boys did striking drills and rounds. I don't punch things, so I timed for them. They are all training for MMA fights in the next few months, so I just fit in with what they are doing and participate when I can. At the end, all of the boys rolled one round each with me so I got a nice 30 minute session of no gi in. I haven't done no gi in ages and it was nice to see that my improvement in gi passes over nicely to no gi as weel. I also noticed that I was doing much better at a couple of things I have been trying to improve recently (framing and using my head). When I mentioned this to coach, he said he noticed it as well, plus he noticed me doing quite a few sneaky back takes on the boys which he really liked!
Thursday evening: early rolls again and then bjj class. Most of the session was line drills and we were split into groups. I was with all the girls and the smaller, less experienced boys. (bigger guys in one group and smaller more experienced with coach in no gi mode as they help him train for his MMA fight at the end of March). Smaller group means you go in more often so you don't get much chance to rest and the boys are all fast and strong, even if they lack on the technique side so they are tough rolls. The girls are also tough because we roll together often and know each other's styles well.
Friday morning: MMA team, fitness and then drills for days. Flow drills at a high pace which really helps highlight anywhere you are making a mistake or missing something. The boys are great at helping me correct things. Then a few rounds of standing to submission for 5 minutes. Mornings are all no gi these days, which is a nice contrast to the gi evening sessions and helps me work my no gi game. I'm planning to do my first no gi comp this year.
Saturday: Fundamentals. I love this class, we even have a couple of blue belts in it because it helps on so many levels. Newbies work on grasping the basics while others work on adding those little tweaks that improve a move. There is a break between fundamentals and open mat for kids class, and I have to work, so no open mat this week!1 -
I went to my class on Saturday morning. It was preparing us for the fitness challenge (10 March). And after that we practiced some grappling. I worked with another woman who was also recovering from the flu, so we didn't work as intensely as normal. We still had fun though. We can't be taken anywhere
I felt like it was more of a dance, which necessitated the singing of a waltz

@Versicolour That sounds like me and my friend. Coach always says we do giggling Jiu Jitsu because we are laughing the whole time. And we often partner for certain drills, especially stand up, because we are both one of the bigger and stronger girls, meaning we can hold each other's weight, which some of the other girls can't do. That does often mean we fall over though because we can't hold the other person while laughing so much!1

Awesome @Dory_42 That sounds like fun. The fun makes it worth it! I am just so glad our sensei doesn't get bent out of shape by the two of us laughing and joking the whole time!!1
