Good Morning,
Thoughts and prayers are with Dave today, hope all goes great,
Bill, hope today is a pain free day,
Steve, hope you are feeling better,
Mike, how is DS progressing?
Hope storm recovery is going good,
DBIL passed yesterday, been fighting cold and/or flu stopped for breakfast on way to work got in truck started backing up went over curb and down embankment; results not back yet but believe he had a massive heart attack. Many reports of folks with flu having plack turn loose causing serious issues.
Enjoy the Day,
Sam I am0 -
Sam, sorry to hear about your brother-in-law; that's too bad. My son got approved by the medical people at the post office to start work. Waiting for letter from personnel I think, but sounds official.
Dave, good luck today with your surgery. Hope you're back to bowlmaking sooner than expected.
Treadmill stress test went fine until I got off the treadmill and lied down on the bed, when my BP went up to 235/110. Dr. said the EKG then changed to abnormal, but eventually BP came down and EKG returned to normal. She called attending physician who looked it over and said EKG was all actually normal and they sent me home. Normally my BP is 120's/70. Appointment in 2 weeks with the electrophysiologist who ordered it, who hopefully can tell me what it all means, if anything. I think I was more stressed out from anticipation of the stress test than from the test itself...
Off to Bible study; still giving up sweets for Lent... Snowstorm on the way tomorrow, various forecasts ranging from 6" to 16". (I always say there's a 30% chance the forecast will be right.)1 -
Mornin' gents.
I like that, Mike. "30% chance forecast will be right". LOL!
Thinking of Dave going to surgery for trapeziectomy today.
Sorry about your DBIL, Sam. Dang.
Be OP ;-)0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
I'm so sorry about your DBIL, Sam.
Hope they figure things out, MIke. I always focus on the posiytive stuff doctors tell me.
We always figure the best weather forecast is to look out the window.
Got a rather late report time for my hand surgery: 10:45 this morning. Kind of disappointing. I hoped it would be early. Now I sit here feeling hungry, which I can handle, and desperately wanting a cup of coffee. THe old "no food or drink after midnight" order.0 -
Dave, at least they are putting you to sleep, used local on mine because cardiologist would not agree.
Mike sounds as you have a few questions that need answering when visiting doctor.0 -
Good Morning!
Sam, keeping your family in prayer for your brother in law's passing.
Dave, keeping you in prayer for your surgery this morning. I hope it is way better than expected.
I seem to be turning a corner with this damned cold. The sinus pressure is letting up. I still have a cough, but it is not that scary deep stuff that I had. More a "normal" cough. Drinking lots of water, hoping to flush it out. I have not run since last Monday. I hope to maybe run a couple of miles by Thursday?
Seeing the chiropractor at 11:30. She always makes me feel better. I know that I have a rib out with all of this danged coughing that I've been doing. Seriously, I get a good cough going, and I throw out my upper most rib on the left side.
Have a great day!

Good Morning!
Sam, I am sorry for the news on your DBIL. Praying for the family during this difficult time.
Dave, praying for a "that couldn't have gone better" report on your hand surgery. Prayers continue.
Mike, Congrats to your Son on the job! Way to make the stress test alot more interesting. Hope they get it sorted quickly for you.
After two weeks with the cold, I finally restarted my routine with tutoring and some errands. I don't think I ever had a cold kick my tookas like this one. Still dragging a bit. I am firing my Vitamin C and switching to ginseng tea every day once I score some ginseng. My dad used to export ginseng, my brother is a ginseng buyer. It will feel strange to actually buy some. Off to do "old guy stuff" as my wife says and go to a Social Security workshop this afternoon put on by AFEA
