Before I became an attorney, I was a sales and marketing guy. I am always interested in how to use words to create positive associations with well liked things or positive emotions. Sometimes I see a business name that I cannot believe someone chose. Read the hair salon name below...and then take a comfortable seat

Day isn't quite over but being optomistic. Snow storm coming our way shortly! I think I may have jinxed myself with the statement about a blissful Autumn!4 -

So my boss goes for a message all the time. My primary has suggested it my chiropractor suggested it. Well as my shoulders and neck are so tight I know it's not going to help my chiropractor appt this week so today I go for my first message. I am not a touchy feely person so I am not real comfortable with this. Yet it's natural and I am not popping a pill so I will give it a try. I will let you know how I do.5 -
Image reminds me of my Dad . We would have Halloween parties with initiation to one such party being a seat in the electric chair. My Dad had rigged up an old wood rocking chair with metal plates fastened to the wide arms to which he further wired an old crank telephone. We kids would take turns at the crank each time a guest arrived, thereby delivering a mild electric shock.
Just thinking...I might be the only one on this forum who grew up with a crank telephone until we finally got a dial phone as I became an older teenager. Party lines of 6-8 people were quite the experience. Our phone number was 10F15 which was one long ring and 5 short rings to which we would answer. A neighboring telephone with number 10Y22 would answer upon a ring of 2 shorts and 2 longs. Am I ever revealing my age!4 -

2nd monitor on computer died. Will need to get another one. So used to having the extra screen real estate.

I cannot function without at least 2 monitors anymore. Recently upgraded my PC and got a video card that can support up to 4, can't wait to expand to at least 3!!2 -

@craigo3154 - I never understood why my husband loved having large monitors until he upgraded and I got his “old” one! It was twice the width of my old one. Best thing ever for working on my lesson plans!4 -

I’m back at the farm, which is about 50 miles west of downtown Chicago. I love living at the edge of the urban world but not yet surrounded by it. Housing keeps getting closer every year.

Back on track. I'm starting to get into a different mindset, because I normally have fixed meals so if for any reason I don't eat exactly that thing at that time...I stop tracking. Well no. You track exactly the same and it's working. Well of course it's working, it's just me being thick there.2 -

Took the pups on a 4 mile walk at The Wetlands and then went mall walking with a friend this evening. Trying to load my steps for Wednesday when I will be taking a 10hr flight and unable to doing much.
Back in January, I signed up to be a Wetlands Walker and I log my miles every time I walk in the park. We are trying to collectively walk 5,000 miles in 2018 which is total migration miles flown (summer and winter) by a Black Necked Stilt. Turns out, as of today, I have walked 184.5 miles so far this year!
