Kelly, you are allowed to be ... you're hurting. It's totally normal and I love you and am holding you in a special place in my heart as you walk this awful path.
Lou, I don't like wings, but I like nachos.Seems like a no-brainer to me!
Dh has a few drones, and he loves them! He hasn't had them out much over the winter, but every once in a while. When the weather is nice, he takes them out several times each week.
So sorry for those of you dealing with snow! That totally sucks.
YAY, Michigan! Woot woot! (said for dh, really)
Yes, the rest of the week was a continuation of birthday celebrations. Let's see, I had meeting rooms sing to me, lots of little gifts and cards, a couple flower deliveries, visits from my girls. Yesterday we switched gears, and after the study I lead at the rehab house, I made a birthday dinner for my 2 DSILs, who also both had birthdays in the last week or so. We had steak on the grill, tortellini salad, corn, and fruit salad. We picked up a Tommy Turtle pie for dessert, which is a special thing that the local most-amazing-ever local ice cream shop makes. YUM! Then last night we went to a surprise birthday party for an old friend who we haven't seen in a while. It was SO nice! Their family lived across the street from us for about 15 years, and our kids grew up together. They moved up north a few years ago and bought a b&b, and we miss them A LOT. It was so nice to reconnect! Overall, a super fun day.
Today is pretty slow, except for doing music tonight. For those of you who are into it, we're doing Oceans, The Solid Rock (yes, the old hymn, but I gave it a reggae feel), Once Again (perfect before-Easter song), and I Am Free.
Hugs all around!0 -
Mornin' BBB.
(((Kelly)))
Babe and Billy had a mediocre trial and so no placement for Babe...but Billy took fourth with another dog name Star. He was not happy with with the judging at all, but he strongly believes he should take all the ribbons at every trial. Rooming with Billy was an experience. He is quite an interesting character.
Place we had dinner Friday night had frog legs. Pretty good. Ever had frog legs, Lou? Very succulent.
Cool drone pics, Skip. Things are really coming along.
Pretty amazing run so far by Loyola Chicago...guess they go head to head with Jim's Wolverines this week. Luv me sum Sister Jean.
So impressive that you do the music on Sundays, Lisa. That takes a lot of preparation and creativity.
Bob, peddling and piddling. LOL.

Good Morning BBB.
Hearing the kids speak at the marches was inspirational. They are so young and yet articulate and brave. I know our country is in good hands. Whether you agree or not with their message at least they are standing up and taking action.
Preparing to take the kitties' stuff to their new home on Tuesday in advance of the move. I am bringing a diffuser and some calming oils as well as some immune boosting oils. The kitties are used to it and the oils will help them acclimated.
Some pictures popped up in my Photos app from 9 years ago - wow were we fat!
Steak on the grill tonight - let BBQ season begin!
Lisa - happy birthday month - those songs sound wonderful. I can see your DH loving playing with his drones. Very cool.
Kelly - sending continued prayers and love.
Bill - drone photos of the house are cool.
Do good out there everyone.0 -
Lee - I bet it was interesting rooming with Billy!
Yes - go Loyola! They seem to be getting stronger each round. Sister Jean rocks!0 -
Good Morning!
Um... What is Loyola? Rock Chalk Jayhawk, go KU!
Skip that is an awesome house that you are building.
(((Kelly))). Keeping you and your family in prayer.
Cold and dreary in KC again today. Ready for Spring to come out and stay out!
Have a great day!0 -
Morning~
Lisa, is it your birthday?
D(w)BIL's finally came to hospital yesterday; I'm making myself scarce and staying out of the way..... DFIL condition about the same (no better/worse).
Might go get me some wings today. Now, I'm hungry for wings!
I want a drone! It was cool watching this from my friends yesterday. But we are close to the Dulles airport - last thing I need is putting out a BBB bail bond plea....for violating FAA regulations.
Have a great day!

Good morning BBB friends.
Cool drone pics. If all that is your property, you're going to need to hire a gardening crew. I'd love to have an acerage, but somewhere where I could keep chickens, and maybe a couple pigs.
Here's my mini rant: Why is it forbidden to have chicken, which stay in your yard and make very little noise, but it's OK to have cats and let them wander around using other people's yards as their litter boxes? I liked it when we had coyotes roaming the streets and cats were nowhere to be seen. Love my DS and DDIL's cats, but they never go outside.
Tree pollen forecast to be very hight, today. I'll be sniffing and wiping my eyes.

Why yes, Skip, it was! Betcha hadn't heard, right? I try to keep that kinda low-key.0

Morning BBB
Low key yesterday including a nice nap then dinner out with friends. Today I think we are going to hit the retro consignment shop to see if we can sell Ron's concert tees from the 80's/90's and his mad magazine s. Don't really want to make a bunch of money but it's time for them to live elsewhere.0 -
Morning BBB
Food prepping niq veggie egg bake for week, and a trial run on hard boiled for next weekends Easter egg coloring party over here with ds2, dgf, dgfdd. A new to me way, maybe they'll peel better, epic fail for me always.
Oh the landscape gardening plans I could do withi your lot Skip!
We are actuality going to the library book Sale and then to the Home and Garden Expo. SO is putting in pavers around the house and garage beds this season. We're off for ideas. Last thing I want is to spent time at an expo after my last week, lol. Oh well, our realtor sent free tickets.
Cheers now for Loyola underdogs!

I cook hard-boiled eggs in a steamer. Get the water to a good boil; put the eggs in the steamer; steam for 13 minutes; put them in an ice-water bath. Perfect eggs, every time. I got the technique from "America's Test Kitchen." Works on any number of eggs that will fit in my steamer (I have done a dozen at a time). We like to have hard-boiled eggs in the refrigerator, ready for whatever (mark the shells with a pencil).0

Good Morning,
Me and DW went on road trip with neighbors yesterday afternoon, had seafood dinner buffet which also had frog legs were good but over cooked. DMIL is acting very pissed today, reckon it is because we did not invite her to go with us, we need some time away. We got back at 8:30 she had turned all lights out and had locked all doors, half the time we don't bother locking doors.
Prayers for Cooper.
Happy Birthmonth Lisa!!!
Cool pics of house Skip,
Cats in our neighborhood are walked on leash like dogs, but still do not understand why someone would want a cat, of course Sunny has gotten where he does not get up when someone comes to door.
We have had guns and weapons for hundreds of years, yet have not had school shootings for hundreds of years, could problem possibly be loss of family values, lack of faith and failure of society to hold children accountable?
Enjoy the Day,
Sam I am0 -
At higher elevations, you have boil or steam eggs longer to appropriate doneness. 15 minutes minimum. We are about 1200 ft above sea level. I boil eggs for me and the dogs. If I undercook them, they might peel OK right after chilling in ice bath, but they won't peel a darn after sitting in fridge overnight or for a couple of days.0

Guns and Eggs.... Where else can you have such an array of banter in one location? Love it!

That movie looks so good Dennis. Love the song! Enjoy. Let us know how it was.
Eggs peeled and turned out perfect. Bring water to a boil, add eggs and resume on low boil for 11 minutes, and move to cold water bath.0
