    Good Morning,
    Lee, enjoy your day off,
Skip, with moving are you still planning on Atlanta trip in May?
It is amazing how our pets become family and many times closer and always more forgiving,
Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful day after rain and clouds moved out early morning. Pollen count over 4,600 highest in 3 years.
DW got her new stove yesterday, one would thought it was Christmas. Did not fit quite right but they went ahead and hooked it up where she could use it. Hopefully will get gas line moved where stove fits back in space then cabinet moved by weekend.
Hope all got a GREAT HUMP in yesterday,
    Enjoy the Day,
    Sam I am

    Mornin' BBB.

Off to train dogs. Finally getting some sunshine.

Funny how you almost have to renovate the whole kitchen to get a new stove.

    Good morning.

My eyes were already runny from walking face-first in the wind. Then I read the blog entries. A book is definitely a good idea.

Interesting development on my side of things. Got a call yesterday from one of the jobs where I finished second. Turns out that the guy who won the gig did *something* bad that warrants his termination and they want to talk to me again. I'm not exactly sure how I feel about it, but I'm dying of curiosity.

That's crazy Lou. Think hard because that happened to me in 1986 and I passed the opportunity working for the major power
Utility company here ,imagine what my pension would be right now, vs just getting the opportunity and starting a 401k only 5 years ago at my age.

I was up a pound at weigh-in. A gift. So with that I need to chop to it.

I would love a new stove and a new refrigerator. I have an electric flat top can't stand it I want gas.

Sounds like away too long day skip!

Be safe be happy BBB have a good day

    Good Morning BBB.
The sunrise was incredible this morning - we live abutting the forest preserve and it was on fire! Amazing. Heading to southern IL tomorrow for our god daughter’s wedding this weekend.
    Must prioritize doing taxes today.

Lou, it never hurts to look and explore.
DW has not cooked on gas in 13 years, not use to instant heat and how much quicker gas can cook; or burn. I wanted to set up grille in center but DW wants burners; how often does a family need 6 burners? oh well it's easy to swap out. Owners manuals do not come with things any more, have to download, DW did not know I had printed one once we decided that is stove we were getting; called appliance store complaining; they told her they would print her one and she could pick it up or they would mail. It is amazing how technology has made a stove so complicated to operate. Cornbread a little to crusty.
I pulled turnips Sunday, DMIL said she was going to fix. We sat down to supper last night and she had a pot of greens cooked but no turnips cut up in greens; said she would cook separately; now do you know how bitter greens can be that grew over winter without the sweetness of turnips being cooked with them. DMIL said we needed to put 1/2 cup of sugar in greens, NO cook them properly, DO NOT need added sugar. She also had not cut or chopped greens before cooking, think of 6 to 9 inch wide leaves about 10 inches long once wilted a mass glob.

    Good morning BBB.

    ((Cooper))

We need a new stove and fridge, too. Do not plan to renovate entire kitchen.

The only positive side to the rain we are having, is it knocks down the tree pollen. We'll get into grass and weed pollen in May and June.

The emplyment shifts I see among friends of "mature years" amaze me. Jumping from job to job would scare me to death. In my adult life, I had three employers: Shakey's Pizza, Oregon State Department of Forestry and the U.S. Army. I moved a lot, but I always knew where the paycheck was going to come from, and retirement was not a worry.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • Where do I pre-order SJs book?
    • Sam's right it ended ended up being beautiful here yesterday. After getting my new tires I road home thru the national forest. You see and smell so much more on a motorcycle. Amazing.
    • We still haven't figured out all the fancy features on our new (almost 3 yrs old) stove. It has a convection oven if I knew how to use it.
    • It doesn't hurt to talk Lou. Unless of course you know given both options you prefer where you are at. It is nice to have options.
    • Mary, I've learned that when you are on WW and have a bad day/week it is no where near as bad as when you are not on WW and have a bad day/week.
    • I'm with Cooper.

I want to reiterate Dennis's statement about a "bad day/week" on WW vs. prior to WW. We did a meeting a few weeks back on recovering after a slip, and one of the cornerstone concepts that I latched onto was this: The very fact that we RECOGNIZE an "off" day is progress! In the past, it was simply our usual. No big deal. Our MO. Now, it is not. This is GOOD. Celebrate that change!

It's sunny here, and the snow that we got yesterday is nearly gone. I hope it's the last! My 8am group was so grumbly about the weather yesterday that I made them open the meeting with a gratitude list. (I needed it, too!)

Nothing too exciting today. I slept nearly 10 hours last night, which I hope went far in fighting off the remnants of this cold. I have a WW meeting at noon, and Bible study tonight. I'm also meeting both before and after Bible study with different people. Hugs to you all!

WW meeting topic was optimism vs pessimism vs realist. I want to be the realist. I'll work towards that.

I forgot to mention the HOA annual spring meeting last night was taken over be a control freak wanting to ax the common area mowing company for no good reason. Ugghhh. Its too late to change now, how about a discussion with the guy on expectations moving forward first and see where that goes? Oh wait, you can't really explain what your problem with his work is.... and you want to hire your buddy instead, for only a little higher a price.... ummmm No. sighhhh. some People. I came home with a headache.

Mary, your HOA story struck a chord, with me. When we first built our house I was active in the HOA - five years on the board and two as vice president. The lunatic fringe of residents, with their constant complaints based on nothing or on their personal prejudices, finally drove me to resign from the board. I didn't want to deal with the aggravation any longer. I recall we had one, very vocal, homeowner who wanted to require other residents to turn off their porch and driveway lights at night, so he wouldn't have to suffer from their "light pollution."

Did someone get the license plate of that Beamer that just did a drive by?
