I am brand spanking new to outdoor cycling and am becoming a convert. Hubby and I took a 6-day cycling your of the Finger Lakes and I kept a journal. The last entry is about my general observations and lessons learned from this trip. Hope you read and enjoy.

I forgot to add that I have great respect for all of you out there. My adventure is purely recreational and part of my personal growth. The tour exposed me to people with widely varying goals and I have since befriended a few people who are serious competitors in duathlons, triathlons, and Ironman races. I am humbled. Don't think I'll go that route but am just in absolute awe.

Sounds like you had a wonderful time. Was that the Bon Ton Roulet? I've looked into riding in that one. I also want to do a tour from Buffalo to Saratoga Springs. (the bucket list is getting longer).
I enjoyed your insights and lessons learned.0 -
We toured with a small group of 17 cyclists, 3 tour guides, and 2 vans. The outfit is called "Carolina Tailwinds" and the tour they offered was pretty much all inclusive except for one or two meals. The hotels, inns, winery, B&B's we stayed at were superb. The meals were outstanding as well. We really enjoyed this trip and plan to do it again next year with our son.0
