Its lightly snowing here. Although it is whatever season I wish it to be, I generally find the crisp, cool, fall with pheasant exploding from tall grass and ducks flying over the water. A little snow makes it interesting and fun.
I met a very handsome mountain of a dog. He is a recent arrival. He likes hanging out on this huge plush couch watching HGTV. His name is Cooper. He had bone cancer and was in great pain. Here he is no longer in pain, walking and prancing like a puppy, and he is extremely grateful to his humans for giving him the great kindness of euthanasia. It released him from his pain and depression from the effects of the cancer. He can see his humans feeling deep sadness and would like them to know he is OK.
I remember Master's sadness when I had to leave. It is still there and probably will always be until we are reunited. Yet, he had Tess to help him feel better and now Babe too. Other humans also helped him with kindness and understanding. I know I miss him but I am watching him continue to live, and love, and hunt pheasants. Cooper is watching his humans too, and we are here, waiting, on Rainbow Bridge.
