Introducing myself

I am a 45 year old stay at home mom. I had my 5 year old girl at 40 and my 3 year old boy at 42! So yes I was definitely late to the parenting game!
I worked for 18+ years in healthcare - on my feet. Weight was never an issue then. Since having babies and staying home it has been a struggle. I would love to lose 20 lbs but more than anything I just want to get everything firmer and less jiggly! And fit in my jeans of course LOL.
I have had several setbacks with fitness this past year including a knee injury, an accident, and a surgery. I am not gonna let any of that stop me!
My goal is to hit morning classes at my gym when I can use the childcare, run in the morning on days I can't make the gym, and EAT BETTER! I love to cook but can fall into the trap of fast food and convenience items when there is a lot going on or for comfort. I am trying to go lower carb but not avoiding it completely. Mostly trying to chose lean meat, lots of fruit and veg, use less cheese, and avoid the drive thru!!!
My husband is supportive but not likely to participate in my fitness journey. He is retired from the military and says "I did my PT - I am over it" LOL. He will eat healthy with me though - so long as he has his stash of cookies in his man cave!
