I've been around for a long time. One new thing that encourages me is that recently women are being encouraged to get fit and strong. In the past, I've known women (my age) who stopped doing fitness activities because they gained weight. It was irrelevant to them that they had lost inches of fat, they could not get past the scale-based lie about low weight being 'good' and more weight being "bad'.
Congratulations if you perceive that being more fit may mean that you could weigh more and still be in much better shape.

Mid month, we like to ask this question, "What is going well with you that has nothing to do with your scale-measured-weight?

My report:
I spent last weekend in Portland, OR. We went on an impromptu hike in the foothills of Mt.Hood and we (Rose and I) kept up with all of the 20-something hikers. They kept saying, "If you need a rest it's ok." We held our own and we loved the hike in the Pacific Northwest.

If you are enjoying the UAC experience and wish to rejoin in June, here is the link https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/126897-ultimate-accountability-challenge-june-20181

Signed up for June. Will not be in the circle in either June or July; but will be accountable until we leave for our trip mid-June and return to the group for the latter part of July.2

Got to walk with my walking partner yesterday. She is so thin literally skin and bones but it was great to chat. She likes her new position in back. I love my position up front doing reception during the day. We all love the fact we don't have to go to the branch. My electric mattress pad arrived and what a difference. I already feel a lot better so much looser when I am cold I must tighten up.4

Exercised?: Yes. Walked 3km in 22mins (hills).
Calories?: Yes
Tracked?: Yes
Good pace today, but short walk and late because of work.
Daughters first performance in the school musical went well. She did very well. Very polished production overall.
Power was out when I got home, but fortunately was on before midnight.
NSV for me is that I still wear my wedding ring on my middle finger as it would fall off my ring finger (and it actually would fit on the index finger). I have more energy than a year ago and can do 10 chin-ups on the door frame daily reliably (used to need to be a good day).
Love the NSV days and hearing about other NSV's.3 -

@RangerRickL - Thanks for your lovely words Rick. I have joined June's UAC.
@craigo3154 - Feeling any better today Craig? Glad to hear your daughters performance went well, and great NSV!
@w8goal4life - Thank you sweetie. It is so true that we all need to take time out for a rest to recharge!
@Lil_Heather - How's the knee holding up sweetie? Any better?
@jugar - Sounds like a lovely day well spent.
Had an easy day today. A steady jog this morning, then a nice steady doggie walk. We've covered 8 miles, but it's been an easy walk, very few hills on the walkers trail. Just enjoying the sunshine.
Not so tired today, and the easy day has helped too.
calories burnt:- 896
calories consumed:- 1634/1590 - over again, but much healthier choices.3 -
NSV’s
My NEW skinny pants that were super tight are now loose in AM & even comfortable after dinner! Might have to dry them! LOL
I walk SO much faster!! I enjoy my walks now - rather than their being “have-to’s”
More definition in arms!
Waist has muscle & is steadily slimming down!!
Definitely more energy!!!! More active throughout the day.
Continue to vibe very grateful for this group! When did UAC begin?3 -

@trixsey1. Feeling much better. Thank you. Managing to get more rest which always help.
You are doing fantastic. 8 miles is quite a distance. Enjoy the sunshine and can get out and enjoy the good weather as Summer approaches.2 -

I love NSV day. Mine lately has been a great feeling of posture and vertical power. I walk and move differently, step up, pull up, and push up in all kinds of contexts. Strength is wonderful!
Big day today. Making raised beds getting ready for tomorrow's big planting of vegetables. And hay arriving for the horses first thing in the morning! Then a long hike planned for Saturday. I am enjoying the fact that none of this sounds like a problem.
A bit short on tracking for today but I'll do it shortly and call today yes x 3.3 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Yes.. 40 min full body Circuits...20 min. Cardio
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes
NSV..I have noticed so many changes already! Definition all over..more energy..more motivation..clothes looking better..no bloating..workouts are faster and more intense and I'm keeping up fine.
I joined for June! I hope UAC continues. My plan when joining was 28 days to instill a habit and 18 months to solidify it. I still plan on going strong and this group has helped so much!4 -
Exercise? Yes, 75 minute walk along Erie canal with my boyfriend, Jim. I call him DH a lot for "dear husband." We've been married for 46 years...but he's still my boyfriend!
Calories? Under...even with my planned snack for the evening. I'm going to need to use up those extra calories for maintenance.
Logged? Yes
NSV - We ladies tend to have about 3 sizes of clothes in our closets to accommodate our weight changes. My NSV would be I can pretty much wear all of the smallest clothes in my closet.5 -
My NSV is having more energy and feeling less stressed.
Pass day 3
Exercise- yes, Pilates 25 mins and more field day prep!
Calories - over by 100 I was starving and got a bag of popcorn for a snack tonight. At least it was a healthy snack.4 -
@MadisonMolly2017 Two years ago, I inherited the UAC. The original leader became overwhelmed with being in the middle of the generational sandwich between an aging parent and a child with special needs. She tried to hand the baton, but no one took it. After it was abandoned for 2 months, I sent her an intraMFP message and asked if I could take it over. I also asked if she would have a problem if I changed the rules. She graciously gave me the 'keys' and thanks to @craigo3154, you and all of the ongoing UAC members, the UAC is still a great place for accountability and friendship.
Thanks for asking!2 -
My report:
Calories: under with no problem
Tracking: good
Exercise: 30 minutes of walking.

NSV - Complimented? I didn't really get complimented but I feel complimented when a teacher asks my what gym I go to or if I go to Planet Fitness. I ain't a body builder. Bike riders actually have kind of weenie arms so I don't know. Then I see that teacher as I am biking up the hill on my way in. She and a pal are doing the negative calorie walk around the block lunch.
NSV - Don't know if this counts. I went to my old climbing canyon digs this morning. I like it there because of low UV. But after a hefty climb I end up back at the car. There is a guy there starting up on a mountain bike. He is all like "you must be a regular here. I only come here twice a month and every time I ever do, you are here." I don't know why that would be an NSV other than it is kind of a head nod from a bona fide athlete. He don't gotta know that I get passed by runners.
But still - in the company of athletes. I used to have kind of a disdain for runners and bikers and such.
But today I am on track and in tolerance and got good exercise. Having fun.
Saw some wild horses. Might as well put a pic.

17-May
Exercise: yes, three hours of cardio
Calories: within my limit
Tracking: yes
My NSV is that my heart rate is lower, now, when I do my workouts (well, every workout except running). The lower heart rate is a good measurement for me, because it indicates that my cardiovascular fitness has improved measurably:).
Another NSV, is that when I did a two hour bike ride on Saturday, the hilly sections did not cause me to weep or feel exhausted. I was actually able to keep up with my guy4 -
Yes x3. Lower body strength. NSV’s... hmm.. definitely feeling more comfortable in my summer clothes this year vs last year. And I suppose completing a 5km run a few weeks ago. I hadn’t run at all since September and not 5km in a year, but I went out and did it anyways. (I wish I enjoyed running but I can’t get there!) It’s a victory that I was able to keep up my endurance over the winter by doing YouTube workouts and didn’t need a walk break at all during my first run. I much prefer weight lifting but I know cardio is important too.5
-
Yes 3x. 20 min walk
NSV - increased endurance & making exercise a part of my day as a good thing not something as a chore/drudgery5 -

Yes x 3
Exercise: yes, walked 63 minutes happily
Calories: under!
Tracked: yes!3 -
Pass day, was over by about 150 calories
NSV: Tennis endurance is much improved in the last two months. Attending classes is one thing, but playing an hour of singles is a whole other ballgame. I'm more fit, and at the end feel like I could play another hour. My friend and I plan to ramp up cardio and book longer court time so we can improve our games and fitness.2 -
