Yesterday, at our farm, this is granddaughter, of Lucy, with her beloved old veteran ranch horse, Charlie. You can see that the wind was blowing hard as the horse’s mane is flipped in front of Lucy.
Have a wonderful day!9 -

A doggie walk today, went a little further and more hills. Me and my girl are both doing a charity walk next month of 10,000 steps a day - "MyBigWalkies" - so she's in training! I'm walking her a little further each time, but I swear that woofie could walk all day anyway, lol.
Her Pitpat arrives tomorrow - a doggie version of a fitbit for the event.
Had my run this morning too, 4 miles.

Too early for me to say anything about the success of my day. Not that it matters. I kind of struck out for winners circle. Wait a minute. It still matters. I strike out, that don't mean I throw everything to the wind.
Rick got me to thinking about helmets. I don't know why.
I ride my bike up that little hill to the elementary school and I haven't been in the practice of wearing a helmet.
Now a lot of them teachers and staff, they like me. They think I am cool beans.
But I get dirty looks from some of them and I finally figured out it is because I ain't wearing a helmet.
Heh! One of them actually said something.
So figure this. It is bad example to not wear a helmet in front of little kids when you are riding your bike.
Alright. For the last few weeks I been doing it. I been pronounced about it. I put my bike in the bike rack and I put my helmet on top of it predominately.
So if I was thinking about a pic for today, it would be a pic of a helmet.
Eh, I ain't gonna put a pic of my helmet. I leave it to your imagination.

@bocasdelgrandpabob - you crack me up. Keep on!
Yes x 3 today. A good determined strength workout, some bike and Pilates to round it out. First time this year hanging laundry outside and I put the baby plants for the garden outside for a short while to begin their hardening off before transplanting them outside in a couple of weeks or so. Frost tonight they say. Meh.4 -

@RangerRickL Love the pic of Lucy & Charlie. Like Lucy's VW T-Shirt, too. Thinking Volkswagen's new I.D. Buzz concept slated for production in 2020 might be a good microbus replacement VW with a futuristic design and "flower child" generation retro features! We just might have to change out our vamper some day!
Yes X 3 today with a 20 minute morning walk cut short by the rain, and a 1 hour afternoon walk.3 -

Exercise: Spent the entire day cleaning out my daughter's closet, drawers, toys, bows and rearranging the furniture in her room because we moved her play kitchen to her room. I am exhausted, but doing round two (son's room) tomorrow. His is the one I'm dreading. So needless to say, lots of moving around, bending, squatting up and down today.
Calories: yes only because of exercise
Tracked: yes everything

Long day for me. It's one of my evening public presentations. Tomorrow, we fly to Portland, Oregon in the Pacific Northwest. Our youngest child, Ethan, is a software coder. We used to call them programmers, but I am sure that the word 'coder' is much cooler...or rad as they say on the west coast of the US.

Pass Day two
Very, very hard day for my little work family. The death of a recent grad hit us hard. This is the 6th formed student I have lost this school year to heroin.
The drink with my dinner out plus choosing the short rib street tacos instead of chicken put me over by about 150 cals. I was mad last night when I logged and was over. Today I realized that it was still progress in that I didn’t use it as an excuse to go crazy.

Pass Day 1
A Very Rare Day for Me.
Had a surgical test procedure yesterday that necessitated my laying on my back for 5-7 hours plus sitting another 3-4. I did get my exercise in by climbing stairs/walking to and fro the hospital. I tracked everything, and I even brought healthy foods for myself. But my calorie burn was only at 2,000 as they told me I had to rest.
Between boredom & worry & feeling slightly nauseous (my WBC dropped again (( & I won’t get results from the procedure until this evening or Saturday), I ended up way over with calories. The most I’ve eaten in a day in 6 months - 2,835. I will add, it was all heathy food - and I woke up hungry - which likely means that my body needed it. If I’m hungry, I lose. Scale was down this AM. I guess stress and healing really do take energy. I’m trusting my body more now.
Back in the saddle - firmly - today.
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes!
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? No, but all healthy.
