OK if anyone can assist me with this question it would be very helpful. I just recently added the fit bit to sync with my fitness pal. I noticed when I was on the treadmill The Fitbit moved to match my steps. However when I was on the bike the fit bit did not acknowledge I was pedaling and so it did not register that on my fit bit. So I added the bicycle to exercise on my fitness pal and didn’t bother adding the treadmill time, Bc it is apparently in the fit bit adjustment part down under exercise. Am I doing this correct? I do have and charge HR if that matters. Thank you for clarification. New to this

Since riding an exercise bike is not step-based, your Fitbit should not have picked up steps from it (though with a heart rate-based model it still should have sensed that you were exercising if you went long enough). Ideally, however, it's best to log your non-step based exercise in Fitbit, which tends to have a more accurate burn estimate, and just use MFP for the food side of things.2
