I've stayed the same for 2 weeks and I'm not sure why. Very frustrating in my world. How are you doing?

Hi Kayjosh. Maybe you’ve hit a plateau. I did last year when I reached 150. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get past it. I became very frustrated and stopped trying and gained back 25 pounds. I don’t have an answer. Is it fewer calories, more exercise, or just hanging in there and being patient? Just don’t give up.

I’ve been steadily losing. I’ve been walking about 4 miles daily and trying to keep my calories between 1225 and 1325 a day. I’ve also cut way back on sugars and carbs in general. I need to get my blood glucose levels down. I had cataract surgery on my left eye today so no walking for a few days at least. I’ll have the right eye done in a few weeks. Between the surgery and the diabetes, I’ve been totally stressed out. And when I’m stressed I eat. So it’s been a huge struggle to stay on track. Because of the stress, my eczema has flared up. When it rains it pours.

I think I was at a plateau for about six months, through most of the challenges last year and found my weight creeping back up.

So I decided I had to change it up this year due to my frustration last year - I bought a fitbit in February and have started doing Unislim (like weight watchers for those that don't know). I'm eating so much more fruit and veg and drinking lots and lots of water. I found the fitbit in particular helped - it keeps a really accurate of my calories burned in the day so I realised I could eat a lot more than I had been and I wonder if that was contributing to my lack of progress last year.
