Your furry friend may be the workout buddy you've been looking for. Their energy can be contagious, and they may even make your workout more fun! If you're looking to spice up your daily walks, try these pet-friendly workouts below.

Interval Walk
Switch up your daily walk with interval training.

1 minute: walk
20 seconds: jog
1 minute: walk
20 seconds: shuffle sideways
1 minute: walk
20 seconds: run backward

Repeat 5 times for a 20-minute cardio exercise. Your dog will be excited by the new changes!

Fetch for Abs
Grab your pet's favorite fetch toy and lie down in a sit-up position. Hold the toy as you do a sit-up, and pretend to toss it as you reach the top. Your pet will chase after it, only to realize you still have his toy. Do another sit-up, and pretend to toss the toy again. Try to get in as many reps as you can until your pet stops playing along. For cat owners, use a flashlight and shine the light onto the wall as you reach the top.

Tag
Play a friendly game of tag with your pet. Head to an open space and try to catch your furry friend and have them chase you. This is a great sprinting exercise!

Cat Curls
Tie a toy with a string to your dumbbells. As you do bicep curls, your feline will try to catch the toy.
