I'm going to be doing some cross posting here, so some of you could see this up to 3 times. Apologies for that.
I've come up with an idea that I haven't seen implemented. Before I embark on it, I want to know if anybody else has seen it, mainly because I could use it today and it will take me a few days to do it.
I want to take a planned route (such as on ridewithgps or garmin connect or strava), and generate a workout file for my garmin edge 820. It will use the ant fe-c profiles to allow the garmin to control the resistance.
Essentially, instead of requiring someone to go out and ride, then convert that to a workout, and then they can repeat it indoors, this will allow planning a route on those sites, then generate the appropriate file to simulate the route.
So, anybody seen this anywhere? If not, would it be useful/interesting to have it to anybody besides me?
