Good Morning,
Told to double up on diuretics, legs were back to normal yesterday; took DGK's fishing in which I caught a couple of ticks and too much sun.
Waiting for test to be scheduled,
Staying off pain meds a few days makes one appreciate them.
My real PIA returned Saturday, yesterday DW was ready to ship her off anywhere, will go to gym this afternoon for a light workout, no heavy lifting or hour cardio sessions.
Enjoy the Day,
Sam I am

Mornin' gents.
Glad you were able to get the swelling under control, Sam...you must feel better.
Back to work Monday.
Hope Steve had a good birthday.
Some of us were born to run, others were not. I am not and never was much of a runner. It is a high impact activity and although many people enjoy the high from running, not many people are physically gifted to run long distances without injury, especially as they pass 50.
My point is that although running a half marathon is quite an achievement, is it worth the potential damage and injury?
Be careful, Steve.
Be OP ;-)

Good morning gentlemen.
The physical therapist said "Don't cause yourself pain," but doing the strength building exercises for my hand hurts, no matter how weakly I do them. I guess it's about hitting a balance point between the manly desire to push through and common sense.
DS set a personal record in the marathon he ran yesterday. He finished tired and sore, but uninjured - which was all DW and I prayed for. Proud of him, though.
The whole family was over for dinner, last night. I might have smoked the best ribs I have ever done. With potato salad, ranch beans and strawberry shortcake for dessert, it was a post-race feast for our runner.
We're a week out from our sort of annual trip to Las Vegas. We'll spend four days there. That is generally about my limit.0 -
Good Morning! Glad you are doing a bit better Sam! Dave, that PT quote I think means "don't mess up all my hard work and cause a setback" but work hard.
One week off of anti-inflammatory prescription and I admit it I will happly go back on. But my knee is calming down so I can walk a bit better and my thumbs are working a bit better, but the back and nerve pain are worse. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. Thankfully no pain meds for several months now. A week to go before I can restart Meloxicam. Chances are, I will go for it. Less discomfort, more functionality.
Busy day with PT and then straight off to tutoring. Then home to bake a cake or two for tomorrow for a friend and her co-workers as a bit of a joke.0
