Obscure Parts Help...

I've got a real cracker of a problem guys, and I'd appreciate a little help on it...

my "google-fu" is a bit lacking here, but I'm looking for a 34T or 36T 116BCD (yes, 116 NOT 110) granny ring for my Campag Victory crankset.

Basically, I'm looking to turn the 52/40 that I have at the moment into a "retro compact" - in due deference to my old-knees and heart held together with bits of wire mesh...

Original Campag. chainrings are frankly rarer than chicken lips even in standard sizes - I've seen occasional 52's and once saw a 50T and vaguely remember a couple of 39T's but that's it...

A bit of googling around tells me that there's a company called Gebhardt that do produce 116mm BCD rings that look like they may be what I'm looking for, but i've drawn a complete blank on anywhere that has them in stock or even on their website for back-order / fabricate to order.

Other option I guess would be a custom inner ring - but since the guy behind Eggrings retired I'm coming up with a blank in the UK. There is some dude over in Oz, but I'm guessing shipping costs are going to be more than the fabrication!

I really don't WANT to abandon the Victory crankset, it's a thing of beauty... even if it DOES look a little tired in this pre-refurb picture...

I did actually consider trying to get hold of a 110bcd chainring that was a solid rather than cutaway design, then getting a local machine shop to "drop in" a second set of 5 drillings at 116mm BCD between the 110's, then have the middle hole enlarged by 3mm all round, but it seemed a bit of a kludge, and I couldn't find a "plate" inner ring to experiment on anyway.

So - over to you guys - ideally I need someone in the Uk rather than overseas - I'd prefer to keep local shops in business, and if it comed down to an engineering solution, I don't want to be dealing with engineering shops on transatlantic (or australian) time-delays...
