Hi team,
This is a call out for motivation and support tips!

I thought this would be a good group to reach out too since ya'll probably understand the stress I'm going through, and the desperation I feel about meeting my goals this time!

I've been a consistent yo-yoer since adolescence; and at times I can do weight loss really really well!
I know what to do. I've been so close to my goals in the past and just jumped right back up and different unidentifiable triggers.

This time... for my wedding... I really thought I would be motivated enough to get it together.
I made a plan to loose 25lbs.
I bought a beautiful dress I feel great in, and I got it in my current size at the time so that I wouldn't freak myself out... i thought "when I loose, I can take it in, and if i don't, I'll still fell pretty good."

... and now I've jumped up 15 lbs since I bought the dress!!!
This can't be happening!
I'm really freaking out! What's going to happen when I celebrate my birthday this month... other parties, showers, etc?!!!

I'm not working out anymore, really at all; which of course is the problem.
I just want to cuddle with my love, and make him dinners, and clean, and wedding plan, and practice being a wifey.

Anyone in the same boat?!
Anyone beat the soon-to-be-bride stress eating blues!

Best of luck to y'all!

    Arwww honey,
    You do sound stressed!

Were you logging your food and doing weigh-ins when you gained the 15 lb? I'm wondering whether your comfy home-making period meant that you stopped paying as much attention to your diet? I have to say that my weight seems to creep up as well, if I stop paying attention!

With regard to birthdays, important parties etc, I understand where you are coming from. These freak me out too, as I know they will wreck my diet and I'll put on weight. Right now I'm trying to manage those unavoidable events by trying not to panic, and I give myself the next 7 days to get back to the weight I was before the big 'blow out'. It's a mini-target that means I can counter-act any bad periods quickly, and try to get back on track. Maybe you can try that for the rest of the month, if August is your 'danger zone' with a number of social events coming up?

Breath girl Breath!! It's all good, you will get back on track! I am trying to loose about 15-20lbs before my wedding in October 2014. I have already lost 26lbs since I first put my head into the game and realized I needed to do something. I found that just logging all my food and alcohol helps me see what I am actually doing with my intake. It's amazing the changes I have made and all for the better. We have one goal here and that is to look amazing on our special day!

I don't "exercise" I have a full time job that keeps me very active. I am an Assistant General Manager of a waterpark hotel so I get plenty of exercise running around and helping out in other departments. I log all the walking I do, all the times I help with housekeeping, moving furniture ect that I consider that my exercise. If you want to keep practicing to be a wifey by all means do it! Have fun with making dinners for your love. Dance around the kitchen while putting things together on the stove, do some squats while items are cooking on the stove, cleaning alone will add up on some calories burned.

As for celebrations do it in moderation. Im sure no one has ever said that before ;) To be honest I never knew what moderation was just wanted to party until I couldn't anymore. Pretty sure that is why I got up to the weight that I did. I still drink but have switched it to vodka/water and adding a favorite flavor of mio. On the days I know that I will be going out I try and do a little more "exercise" so I can drink the calories back later.
