Sam! You're into the single digits! Get the confetti ready!!!
Steve, that sounds like some wise contemplation. It's good to reassess the things we spend time on every once in a while. It's pretty easy to get off-balance when we're not paying attention.
Mary, did you tell me where in NC you're going? If so, I can't remember. My bff is there, and I know a ton of leaders down there from all our annual summer gatherings.
Skip, I hope your Fathers' Day party goes well! What are you serving? I was perusing some of the steak ideas in the newsletter that WW sent out this week. The Argentinian Grilled Flank Steak looks promising!
LOVE the pic of Jack with his new friend! And the lovely Raine is in there, too. I love her!
I was up at 4:30 today, too, Lou, but not on a plane. I hope your trip does NOT suck.
Happy anniversary, David!!! I love the pic of the 2 of you on your wedding day. You make a gorgeous couple!
Steph, I am confident that you have some awesome non-pajama clothes! Ha ha! Did you see the $1 dress I got yesterday? I was pretty excited about it! I didn't try it on in the store, either (since it was a dollar ... not too much of a risk), but it fits perfectly.
Sorry about the stuff with your dad, Kelly. That's gotta be tough to watch.
Dennis, I'd like to hear more about the simplifying of Christmas. We've talked about it for years, but never succeeded at it. This year we're taking the entire family to Disney World in mid-December, in place of gifts. It will be very hard to NOT buy stuff to open, but I'm going to try really hard to avoid it.
Lee, I posted this on yesterday's thread, too, but I'm totally picturing you as Fabio now with your flowing locks, on the cover of a trashy romance novel.

Some of the decor from the wedding (the rest of the pics were finished)
My granddaughter and me.

Mornin' BBB.
I was trashy alright, LOL. Posted a picture from 1980 on yesterday's thread. Yikes.
Very busy at work. All the towns in CT require license renewal by the end of June. Flooded with appointments for rabies vaccines.
BBB OP ;-)

Good morning.
Sitting in the back of a cab heading to O'Hare. This voluntarily being awake thing is for the birds.
I look just like Fábio if he had an accountant's hair cut and no muscle tone.0 -
Bwaaaahhhaaaaaa. Too funny!
Lisa - you and Annabelle look so happy! So glad you had a memorable day!
Lee - I kid; because I care; and because we can.
True Story: I had a HUGE crush on a Senior (I was a freshman) in High School. She was a weekend DJ on the radio and was all that AND a box of chocolates. I signed up for an elective Art Class just to be around her (hoping she'd notice). She had a huge thing for Corey Hart. I went and got a perm and style to try to look cool as him - again, hoping she'd notice.
I think this is why I'm in therapy 30 years later. Not so much as an "ahhhhh, how sweet" glance.
.....sigh
Now I'm having a bad morning (in addition to a bad hair day)! See what you started, Doc!0 -
I’m nearly spewing cottage cheese thru my nose laughing so hard this morning.
First Lee and his picture from yesterday. Belly shirt and all. It was in style then.
And now. Ha ha ha.
And good morning. I can’t top either.

Good Morning BBB.
Attended the first session of the motorcycle crash course. Fantastic instructor - very knowledgeable and makes complicated medical stuff simple and memorable. Next session is tonight.
Dave - Happy Anniversary
Lisa - love the pics - such a happy day.
Sam - tick tock
Bill - you still put the same kind of effort into things you love - nothing changes!
Do good out there everyone.
Jack supervising our group of bikers.

I'm holding back my True Confessions for my Netflix special, Skip.
Thankfully, no photographic evidence exists of my transgressions. Just witnesses. And I can handle witnesses...0 -
Good Morning,
Men's dinner went great, men are redoing gym for neighborhood, donating old equipment and putting new equipment in this Friday. DW will be using her truck to haul old equipment to goodwill Friday; all works but board decided to get new improved.
Happy late anniversary Dave and Rita,
We began simplifying Christmas about 12 years ago, we still get gifts for grandkids and put up a tree but have simplified decorations, we no longer string garland around columns over doors and setup villages. We have a special meal and look more at the real meaning of Christmas, so much more enjoyable not worrying about shopping and making sure everyone gets something they want and exchanging gift cards is so impersonnel. Plus there is no concerns about credit card statements for things they really did not need. Throughout the year if we see something that calls out a name we will get that and give it to them then but no longer worry about having to keep everything balanced.
Lou, enjoy your trip, look at it this way, someone has to do it!
Steph, enjoy TX, hopefully weather improves, can't help heat and humidity it's just part of south.
Glad judge reached about Babe, cause we know she's GOOD,
Fingers crossed for a great showing tomorrow, ramps are easy to add.
9 more work days counting today, 13 total days but I'm not counting.
Enjoy the Day,

Good morning BBB friends.
Wow, I can't run down the list like that - but then, you already did.
Special fingers crossed to Raine and the showing.
Sam, you're a "single digit midget" as the troops used to say in the Army when thwey were getting very short on their enlistment.
Had a really nice anniversary dinner at a great restaurant in Olympia, courtesy of DS and DDIL. They share the anniversary, having been married on our anniversary eight years ago. (They celebrated theirs in Seattle. But they are young and adventurous. We old folks like to keep it simple).
Trying to get everything together for this weekend. We are camping (real camping; in a tent) over on the Olympic National Park coast with DS, DDIL and the grandkids. This always seems to be a much bigger production than it needs to be. DW seems to want every meal to be an outdoor gourmet feast.0 -
Thanks - showing tomorrow at 11am so I’ll be a white tornado beforehand!0
-
Good morning
Thanks for the chuckles, lol
How special the kids got married on your anniversary Dave! And Happy Anniversary to you and Rita. Enjoy camping. Closest l will do is glamping. In our trailer, if we ever find one!
Kelly, My mom was pretty financially strapped in her later years, it's hard for them to let their kids know of that, ask for help etc.
Mojo to Raine!
Glad Steve is taking care of Steve! Good modeling for ds2 hopefully! We missed u and care!
Lisa, we're going into the burbs outsiDe Ft. Bragg, about an hour drive from Rayleigh. Xdsil is a retired airforce big wig.0 -
Good luck Raine!0
-
Mary, you'll be close to Marci!!!! She's in Apex, just a teensy bit north of you .. you should go to one of her meetings! She'd take you out for dinner, too, and show you some cool stuff.0
-
Only there 3 nights, Lisa and host has us committed....0

Good afternoon BBB Friends.
- Day 2 of 3 at the conference is complete.
- What was once Pope AFB is now Pope Field and a part of Ft. Bragg. I was once an Air Force small wig.
- I hope you are enjoying Charleston Lou.
