First of all, can you believe it's the 20th already? Forgive me a moment of preaching ... there is a verse in Ephesians that says, "Be careful, then, how you live, not as unwise, but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, for the days are evil." I've thought a LOT about that one, and I think by "evil", Paul is saying that they are relentless. Like the waves. They just keep coming - and another is gone, and another begins. We only get one shot at this life thing, and I think he's saying to not squander it. LIVE it. Have you been LIVING this summer? Making the MOST of your summer? I haven't gotten to the beach yet, so I need to do that. I got so busy with all the stuff in the beginning of June that I've just been leveling myself off ... it's time to be active again.

Skip, that is AWFUL! Sheesh, as if you haven't dealt with that enough already! Thank God no one was hurt, and it wasn't worse than it was.

And I totally get the pool thing, too. I wish you were in my meetings this week to discuss it with us! So far, they've been really raw conversations with amazing feedback.

Raine, "bought an iPad stand that is a game-changer" - not a statement I would have seen coming. HA! Good luck to Jack today in his shoot!

    Steve, stay cool. Ugh.

Sam, enjoy having the house to yourself! 5 days - WOOT!!!!!!

Mary, I remember when we visited NC that it storms almost daily in the summertime. You stay cool, too!

Lou, at least you have a good reason to dislike camping. I just thought it was too much work. When I go on vacation, I want to be lazier than that!

Kelly, did you and your mom and sis go out? I hope you had fun!

It's my long day today. We had 8 joins last night, and last Wednesday I saw over 200 people. It could get crazy ... we'll see. Before Oprah came, our stock was less than $3. After Oprah, it shot up to $40. Now, with our new CEO, it's over $100. I guess business is doing well.

    Mornin' BBB.

Glad WW is doing so well, Lisa. Remember Flex vs Core? Summer of 2007. That's when I joined because Ron Darling (former Mets pitcher) was touting WW for men online. One of the best moves I have ever made. Right up there with asking DW for her hand in marriage. Saved my health and its how I met all of you all.

Skip, that is just ridiculous. A SNAFU that went FUBAR. Guess that Home Depot tech is in deep kimshee.

I got my concealed carry license renewal in the mail this week. That is something that you have to have in CT to own a pistol or buy ammunition of any kind. Guess I better get it taken care of.

Tomorrow is the longest day of the year.

    BBB OP ;-)

    Nicest thing to say Lee
Looks like lisa started us off right this morning. I agree with what you said too
I’m trying hard to live my summer to be the best by spending lots of quality time with people who matter to me.
    Went out with mom
And sis. Had a shrimp and lobster sushi roll. Very point friendly. No salad no soup nothing else. No drink with an umbrella
    Down 10 pounds.

    Morning.

Battles for who is fixing what continues - but some progress!

Raine anxious for GREAT realty news.

Lee - are you hunting whabbits? I've been thinking about getting a 9mm. We are 10 miles from the middle of nowhere. If the Fire Dept couldn't find me - I have no confidence the Sheriffs Office will either when the balloon goes up.

Great reminder to us all, Lisa! I bet your meetings are the best of the best! Why doesn't WW have an online meeting that you could facilitate a few days a week? SERIOUSLY?

HOA Meeting this morning to glean approval for upcoming patio paver and fire pit project. Hope its approved so we can begin next week. Last project for the house.....

    Have a super day!

    Good Morning!

    Lisa, awesome!

    Lee, awesome!

Powerful and deep words coming from folks early this morning!

    Rain yesterday, rain today, woot!

Connie is speaking telling our story to the KC Chiefs rookies this morning, then she gets to eat lunch at the Chiefs training table. She has a great opportunity to reach some young professionals today. I am so proud of her!

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning BBB.
The house sale news is that the family with the son in the wheelchair was talking to their bank yesterday. Our agent is talking to the couple that he loves the house and she is not ready to move to make them an offer (thanks for the suggestion Sam), and another agent has a couple that belongs to the polo club down the road that may want a showing.
I contacted the movers and they are coming to give an estimate on Friday.
Jack’s shoot is tomorrow - it’s an outdoor shoot so rain, rain stay away!
    I don’t remember when I joined WW - probably early 90s.
Kelly - congrats on the loss.
Lee - I agree that WW was a life changer and this group of friends are a life changer too.
Lisa - I know an iPad stand being a game changer sounds funny but I do lots of web video meetings and when we move I’ll be working off the iPad only so having a good stand to improve the camera angle is marvelous.
    Do good out there everyone.

Steve - that is cool that Connie will be talking to the rookies - I’m sure she will have an impact.
Bill - a patio with a fire pit will be a great addition.
Lee - I have an Illinois, Florida, and Utah CC. Before Illinois had option I got a Utah and Florida to have all states covered but I am not renewing Utah that is up this month.

    Good Morning,
    HAPPY HUMPING!!!
My last Wednesday at work!!! YEAH,
DW, DMIL, and 2 grandkids will be heading back from beach this morning; from pictures they had a blast; even older GK's went to sleep at supper table.
DD signed up me and DW for WW's December 2008, seen lots of changes in program; scientifically current program matches CDC and other health recommendations, my issue has been overeating zero point foods; realizing that last night I cut chicken breast in half and brought half in for lunch today. Going along with that starting to cut out all gluten and sugars which doctor says is aggravating arthritis.
Skip, glad damage was not worst and you are not having to fight HomeDepot to get repairs done.
Mary, pictures of home look great, beautiful flowers; don't set up RV at lake where it requires work, it should be for relaxation and fun not mowing, trimming and maintaining all the time.
Went camping when in scouts and into 20's; forced to camp in Army; since then Hampton Inn is roughing it. Growing up grandparents did not have electricity till 1963, and no indoor plumbing; I love and enjoy modern conveniences.
Steph, setting up RV, does that mean postponing move to the islands? BBB family was looking forward to a vacation spot in islands.
Steve, I still say Matthew 6:25-31 gives basis for living without stress.
    Enjoy the Day,
    Sam I am

    Good morning.

In Illinois, concealed carry and FOID cards are two separate things. FOID lets you buy the guns and ammo. I'm guessing that the CC license is a stepped up version of the FOID in Connecticut?

I joined WW in 1986.i hated it. I don't recall the Darling promotion, so I'm thinking it was regional. I still think what they tried doing with Barkley was the best attempt at male outreach on a national level. DJ Khaled doesn't resonate with me. Is he still working with WW or was he canned over his lack of foreplay skills?

Skip, if you're that hard to find, I recommend automated cannons with motion detection cameras to cover the rear of the house.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • Great sermon this morning Lisa. That is intended to be a compliment.
    • I am celebrating my silver anniversary with WW. Joined in Jan. 1993. Made LT that summer. Of course we had some time in there when we weren't talking to each other.
    • Hope the new home in VA sees a speed recovery, and a new fire pit (is there irony there?).
    • Things sound positive Raine. Let's hope it happens this week. Go Jack.
    • Good experience for Connie and the rookies.
    • I had to check my CC card. I'm good to 2020.
    • Skip, Glock offers blue label (discount) pricing to LE, 1st responders and military. If you still have a fire dept. card you may qualify. A local dealer down here is offering it to all veterans this summer. I'm not sure how they arranged that. A Glock 17 or 19 is a good choice.

    Good morning BBB friends.

This group has the most eclectic discussion topics. Now we're into concealed carry permits (?!) I loce it. I have a CC permit, but don't own a pistol - except for an old Ruger Single Six .22, which isn't concealable. I saw an article, yesterday, that said the D.C. area has the highest percentage of psychotics in the country, so arming your self mught be a good idea, Skip.

Been in the WW world since 2008 or 2009. I forget which. After I retired in 2010 the years just started to melt together.

I've never been able to take a vacation to relax. Even when I was a kid, when we went somewhere there was a compulsion to do as much as humanly possible. So it is always rush to one activity then on to another. Always have had to get home to recover. The work involved in camping is far more relaxing than all that running around. Friends talk about going away for a month and doing nothing and I am puzzled; I can do nothing just fine at home, without spending a lot of money. (Grinning).

    Good Morning

    WTG Kelly!

I've broken up and gotten back together with WW too many times. As they say, "the struggle is real". Don't get me started on body image, I had to buy a new swimming suit this week good Lord.

I'll get you all some pictures of RV promise.

Am I the only one that cannot upload pictures from my Samsung?

I get what you're saying Sam for sure, it's not going to be a weekend work site, just this initial cleanup is a lot of work and $$. SO also reminded me that this lot is not mine, that's the past... I'm just excited and happy my kids got back what was ours!

Excited for our little vacation, depart is 10am, off to Raleigh til Sun.

    Woo-hoo Kelly! 10lbs! Fantastic.

I'm like you, Dave. I can do nothing at home. When I go somewhere, I want to do everything. I too find camping relaxing. Loved spending two weeks every year at scout camp as a scout and a leader. Also all the weekend trips.

Skip, be a man and get a 45 acp. 9mm is for ladies. OR you can go dirty Harry and get a Colt 44mag with 8" barrel.

DMIL purchased DW a swimsuit which DW did not want. A one piece but front is so low cut it comes nearly down to navel and if she tilts either direction she falls out. I personally like swimsuit but agree with her it is for a private pool which we no longer have.
I'm a firm believer in filing liens on property that I invest in, even my children's homes, has helped them keep from losing a couple of times; of course DDIL will not speak to me because I filed a lien against their home when I had to catch the notes up that she had not told DS she was not making. Once all monies are paid back with agreed interest I'll release lien. DS is thankful and has no issue with lien, he knows lien helped his sister when her ex tried to refinance house.
Mary have a safe trip, trust you are flying.
Whenever I had a staycation I always found to much that needed to be done or a long honey do list.

I wonder how many thieves say, "Let's rob that house. I hear the owner ONLY has a 9mm handgun."

Dh has a 9mm and I don't like it because it feels too powerful ... I prefer his 20/20.

Or maybe it's a 22? Shoot. Now you're all gonna know how clueless I am.

But I am a pretty good shot, whatever it's called.

I have a few toys, issue is can one get their hands on toy, focused and fire before someone does something stupid; then did you make a good call? So many issues.
Someone coming into my house is open game, walking up to my car packing could get one shot; but how does one know when they are really threatened?

Not much of a gun guy here. My Dad would disown me for that statement

I think a 9mm is more than enough deterrent - so long as I can shoot straight enough to hit them....

Sam - great forward thinking on the liens! Wish Id've thought of that with a transaction years ago! C'este le vie!

Hope the new home in VA sees a speed recovery, and a new fire pit (is there irony there?).

My mind went there, but my fingers took a pass.

It doesn't surprise me that DC has a high level of psychotics. I can think of 535 off the top of my head..
