    Good Morning!

Yep! 1st day of summer. So far this year, we have had 20 days over 90 degrees. 3rd most 90 degree days at this point in the year. Only worst years were the dust bowl years of 1934 & 1936. So.... Today, the first day of summer, is supposed to be cloudy, rainy, and a high of 72. What? Not to worry! They say that by early next week, we will be back in the upper 90s, with a shot at 100.

I'm hoping that Mike does well with the doctor today.

I don't know if you all remember that I dealt with sleep apnea at one time too. I have a friend who is on the Kansas Highway Patrol. He is scheduled to train as a helicopter pilot for the KHP. He has sleep apnea, but does not want to get it treated, because he does not want that on his record, and perhaps stop him from getting off the road, and into the air. I think that he is being talked into getting treatment anyway by his friends. Better choice! Don't need a trooper in the air with sleep deprivation because he does not want it on his record.

    Have a great day!

    Mornin' gents.

Bill, the floortatta gave me a real chuckle this am. But I was also sad because it looked and sounded like it was going to be delicious.

Maybe the trooper can get a black market CPAP from Mike.

    Be OP ;-)

Sleepy Driving can be as bad as drunk driving, I've read. Sleepy flying...? Egad.

I do remember you had apnea, Steve. I wish I'd grow out of it. Last night used two pillows again and machine registered only 3 events/hr. Very strange. I now have two old machines in my closet. I donate the oldest one to the sleep lab, which they can clean and give to folks with no insurance, and I keep the recent one as an emergency backup in case current one breaks down.

Didn't catch any fish yesterday but gorgeous day on local pond. Friend caught several "kivvers" (bluegills) and a calico bass. Scout camp on pond had closed it to boaters past four years, but town contested that. Boat ramp now reopened after legal dispute showed town owned ramp and not Scouts. State owns all major ponds here.

    Good morning gentlemen.

Trip to the dealership to have the car serviced, turned into a rear brake job. It seems that things just wear out when you put as many miles on a car as we seem to.

Interesting contrast in language across the country, Mike. Out here, we have "lakes" that are 1/2 acre in size, or even less. "Ponds" are, typically, tiny things that couldn'y float a boat. In your neck of the woods, there are "ponds" that cover as much acerage as some of our larger lakes. And that despite the fact that much of our early settlement was from New England.

Our weather should cool down, today, too, Steve. We were 92 at the house, yesterday. Forecast is for 73, today. I don't know what DW has planned for my day.

Good Morning. Lee, the Frittata->Floortata was delicious. DW & I sampled the top of it to see how it came out. I will make another one after heading to the Farmers market on Saturday to get fresh asparagus & leeks. I will also move the fry pan slower when I am moving across the kitchen to plate it. In the meantime last night was declared Taco Tuesday and I headed off to our local Tacqueria to pick up dinner. Points were harmed in the destruction of that Frittata.
