Our 8 year old granddaughter, Phoebe, was on the boat that was towing her grandparents ( me & Rose). Afterwards, she said to me,”Grandma was smiling but you looked concerned.” I do look concerned but I had a good time. Another granddaughter, Daphne, laughingly states, “You are not typical grandparents!”
To that comment, I say,”Amen?” Both Rose (71 years) and I (almost 68 years) consistently and persistently push ourselves by working out with trainers and staying active so that we can enjoy the things we love to do as long as possible. Life has its inevitable trajectory, but we can work to push back decrepitude until near the end

Exercise was 60 plus 90 minutes of Jiu Jitsu
Food was all logged. My willpower failed as I ate all the chocolate I had planned to have on the weekend, but it all fitted within my calorie range so all good!5 -

“You are not typical grandparents!” This is my desire. It is nice to know that when you work for it, the grand children will notice.3 -

One of those lovely days when I went nowhere. Our land is a wonderful place not to leave! Lots of garden and outdoor work, practicing, and general walking around.4 -

Exercised ✅ - parked in garage that was about a 7 minute walk from my building to get extra steps in today. Longer walk was for 30 minutes (1.29 miles) walking the pug. 8,625 steps so far today
Calories ✅ - got home last night and even though I ate out for lunch and dinner (Wendy’s is my go to for fast food) I’m well u der for the day 1010/1490 (makes up for yesterday!)

Glad to be back home after 4 days traveling. I missed the meal time structure!
For those of you who travel frequently for work and/or pleasure and still meet your fitness and nutrition goals, I commend you!
