Dh took the day off yesterday, so we drove up the coast, stopping to walk trails and climb dunes and take pictures and visit little downtowns along the way. It was SUCH a nice time! The weather was absolutely perfect, and we are blessed with a completely fairytale relationship. We climbed a lot of stairs along the way, and my calf muscles did NOT want to bring me down the stairs at our house this morning, though. They are a hurtin'! Ha! I really should exercise more. For those of you on fb, I posted a video of some deeper thoughts I had yesterday morning about some things.

Skip, I have not heard anything else ... but then we were out all day yesterday, so I haven't checked the news, either.
Kelly, I hope you got all rested up! That's important.

So today I meet with the ladies at the rehab house, and then I'm going swimsuit shopping. Not my most favorite thing to shop for.

Made it to the VFW finally to say hello to a few friends yesterday. That was nice.

Today is a quiet day doing schoolwork; washing Jeeps; perhaps the pool later; NASCAR race tonight.

Good morning BBB friends.

Pancakes, shopping, farmers market, childrens museum with DGS yesterday. Have no idea what DW has in mind for today.

Last year I had to have my wedding ring cut off my finger. Arthritis had swoollen the finger to the point that, not only could the ring not be removed, but it was actually getting painful to wear. I have been without a ring ever since. Yesterday, we picked up a properly sized replacement. It's amazing how quickly it felt normal having a ring on that finger again.

Boy, gold bands have certainly gone up in price over the last 31 years. I should have bought gold back in '87. I'd have made a bundle.

Morning all. I feel like I haven't checked in in forever. I read and catch up then get interupted and don't come back. Low key week. Local travel only so except for the night I chose to stay with my sister instead of drive home I have been home all week.

Jury Duty next week so local trips only if I get dismissed. Today we will get in a 40+ ride and then maybe a local art festival. Ragbrai is only 2 weeks away and day two is 68 which is a little above my comfort level.

• Steph, nothing like sleeping in your own bed.
• Lisa, Emma let me take credit for some of the Lands End stuff. There is also a bottle of VS Rapture coming. DW really likes it but VS discontinued it so I had to resort to eBay.
• Skip, you'll need to send Cooper down for online buying lessons. Emma is not much for using the phone.
• Dave, I have a gold band that I rarely wear. Working on the flight line we weren't allowed to wear rings for safety reasons and it kind of became my standard. I never wear rings. Glad you got a new one though.
• I'm sure there will be more Suits marathon tonight. We are on season 4.

Picked peaches, blackberries, blueberries and tomatoes this morning.
Taking DGS to pool this afternoon, 2 year old has too much energy for me.
Bet Mr. Coopers only issue is his name is not on card.
68 is not bad as long as it is a downward slope,
