Gaudette Marathon Training Plan?

I am either going to run a half-marathon or marathon this November. I have previously run 2 marathons, and for me, fitting in the time for the training runs was the most challenging part. I looked at Jeff Gaudette's sub 4-hour marathon training plan and it looks like I could fit it into my life. It includes just 4 runs per week and I could do 3 of the runs before work during the week. Does anyone have experience following Jeff Gaudette's training plan? If so, positive or negative? successful?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Looking at the plan online, it is a really low mileage plan for a marathon. With only four days a week, it is hard to have decent mileage. The plan only includes 3 long runs (over 16 miles) which is really not enough. Your training will be super easy, but race day will be extremely tough and the last half of the race is likely to be a death march. If you want to do well at your marathon look for something that builds to 50-55 mpw. Or do a low mileage plan, but throw any time expectation out the window. Run it for fun. This isn't a plan that is going to give you a PR, if that's what you're hoping for.0

Thanks! That was my concern - too low mileage. I sort of followed this plan for my first marathon, but I added a 5th day of easy running and I added a 4th long run bc of schedule changes. I ended up having to tone it down (in terms of pace) for a month bc of a vicious blister on the bottom of my foot and then the day of the marathon was very strong winds (30+ mph) and hard rain so I decided not to focus too much on time. So I don't know if my plan would have worked - I finished in 4:07. Now it is a few years later and I want to leave 1-2 days for cross-training and another day for rest. So it sounds like this plan probably wouldn't work as is, but maybe with a couple of modifications. Thanks for the input!1

I've heard good things about the plans in this book.
I have not tried them nor do I know anyone personally who has used them. All the positive feedback has been 3rd party so YMMV.1 -
My understanding of the Run Less type training is that it isn't a time saver. You are supposed to put as much time and energy into your cross training as you would into your running. It is great for triathaletes, who are already cycling and swimming a lot, or for runners who get injured on high mileage, but if time is limited it isn't that helpful.2

I looked at the run less program and I would feel more confident with a 4th day of running. I am also concerned about injury - the paces look more aggressive than I am used to.
Spiriteagle - I have done a couple and next month am doing another sprint triathlon. I have a trainer at home, so it's easier for me to squeeze in bike time than run.0
