Mornin' BBB.
Pouring rain. 4th day in a row. Good for the well, I guess.
Love the photos of Jack on FB, Raine. Head shots and action poses for his acting career, I suppose.
Dave, did you smoke those trout? My favorite way for dinner is to stuff with lemon slices and dill, rub with ground pepper, and then wrap in bacon over charcoal fire with some apple wood. If for breakfast, dredged in cornmeal and fried in bacon fat. Either way, not very point friendly.
OK, I'm drooling now.

Morning~
Rough day. DMIL whisked/admitted to hospital for stroke related symptoms. DW is frantic. It would appear that its just a calcium and creatine imbalance (dehydrated). Not sure if they'll keep her all weekend for observation or not.
Headed to office - lost time at desk yesterday for the aforementioned got me behind on a project due Monday.
Great shot of HJ showing off his masculinity!
Sun SUPPOSED to make an appearance today. So hopeful I might make a trek to the pool. We'll see.
Cheers for a great day, gang!

Good morning BBB Friends.
- Hearing aids work but will take some getting used to. They are the ultra small, barely visible type. Watched TV last night and could actually hear the dialogue. The car now makes strange noises, the printer squeaks and the chiming of the clock is loud.
- Jack appears to be portraying the MGM Lion.
- I hope your DMIL is okay Skip. You've had enough to deal with this year.
- I'm not sure what the day will bring but let me go find out.

Good morning BBB.
Hope your DMIL is doing OK, Skip.
Jack is one of those guys who always photograph well.
Glad the hearing aids are working out, Dennis. I need to start the VA quest, myself.
The trout will get smoked today. I use a simple sweet brine, then smoke with whatever fruit wood i have on hand. This will be cherry, since I have turned a lot of that on the lathe. In the past, I have used apple and Bradfiord pear, too.

Oy, hope DMIL is OK and that you get some sunshine so you can hang at the pool in your sunglasses.0

Morning BBB
Going to tackle the closets today. I only wear about 10% of what I own with the new job so I am going to do a big purge. I think my sister and her husband are coming tomorrow so maybe she will take a few things (especially shoes...she makes terrible decisions with shoes...she is either old lady or teenager)
Steve I booked a trip to Kansas City the week of August 20 if you are free for a meet up. I plan to stay in Liberty since it is between the two locations but I will have my car so could go anywhere.
Well wishes for DMIL. My dad is only in his 60's but we kept a pretty good eye on him after mom passed...when you lose your other half your life is irreversible changed.0 -
It looks like Jack is belting out a great song! Hallelujah!
Skip, that sounds scary! I am praying for her, and for your DW, who must be so distraught after just losing her dad.
I'm glad you can hear again, Dennis! Remember that you can choose to turn them off when you want, too. It's good to have options!
The party today went well! He loved the banner - yay! I'd made a bunch of centerpieces for all the tables too, which his mom (my sister) appreciated much more than he did (I knew that would be the case!), too. And, when we got there, we found out that there was going to be a little surprise thing for my sister, who is turning 50 in a few days. So, Dh and I made a quick run to the mall for presents. I got her a really awesome necklace, bracelet, and handbag. She loved it! Then we spent the day cooking and cleaning and doing dishes so that she could hang out with all the visitors. We got to hear all about our nephew's adventures in Europe, too, which was especially awesome because he FINALLY actually TALKS to us. He is autistic (ausberger's), and for years avoided all social interaction. He seems totally calm and able to do it now, and I believe that much of that growth is a result of him stretching his comfort levels on these trips. I'm so proud of him!
Here is a pic of my sister and me today (she's also lost at least 100 pounds ... this is the smallest I've ever seen her as an adult! I'm so proud of her!):
