Back to Basics

I had surgery March 23, 2015. I lost 125 and have regained 50 since April 2017 (I went to France and totally fell off plan — jumped really). I was 65 from goal and, I admit, was severely freaked out by the loose skin. Now, after regaining, Ive realized that how I feel is 1000 times more important than how I look. So it’s time to drag myself out of my pit of self-sabotage and start over.
I’ve gone back to beginning, literally. Starting with the pre-op liquid diet. Isopure shakes, SF Gatorade, broth. This effort though is not meant for losing weight (though I have —11 lbs in a week) but for taking my taste buds back to “manufacturer settings”. I noticed the first time that at pre/post op I began craving healthier foods insteads of my triggers like Coke and chocolate. I’m hoping it does the same this time because my trigger cravings have gotten out of control.
I think it’s working because I look at salad and fish and my body wants that. Four more days and I’ll start easing into soft foods like scrambled eggs and avocados.
