In the weekly Warrior Mini-Goal Challenge focus on your "short term goals"
Focusing on one week at a time, when the big picture seems too overwhelming. Small changes can bring on big results!!
Choose one or more things you want to work on for just this week. Don't set it too high or unreachable!!
Please, make sure your week works for you. Sun to Sat or Mon to Sun, whatever is YOUR week!
You can reach your main goal if you break it into small actionable steps. It could be as easy as 1-2-3!
1) Choose something you know you can do easily.
2) Add more difficult tasks to your plan.
3) These small steps will get you started, motivated & help build routine for long term success!!
Anyone interested in joining us for another week, or a first week, or a get back on track week?
Check in often, have a great week and do the best you can!

some times you need to look at it in a different way,
Now read it from the bottom up

That's an awesome poem! Apparently it was actually written by a high school student - which, as a teacher, I find super cool1

@IsMollyReallyHungry - Love the poem!
Well, last week I got a little off track with some habits that I keep thinking are more stable than they apparently are. So, it's back to refocusing on the whole food, nothing highly processed thing. I'm amazed how quickly and easily things/foods creep back in. I have not felt well this week because of it (including headache), but I know what to do.
My goals this week:
1. Whole foods, nothing very processed!
2. Sleep/rest (seems to be especially challenging)
3. Exercise, especially working on strength training
4. Stress management (the food, rest, exercise should also help with this)
5. (and of course) Logging and staying within calories
Always, back to basics.1 -
So my running goals this week are:
Monday - time trials: 12 laps, even laps 2-10 timed. Aim for <1:45!
Tuesday and Wednesday - general run: 16 laps, aim for <35 minutes
Thursday - time trials: 12 laps, even laps 2-10 timed. Aim for <1:45!
Friday - longer run: 20 laps, aim for <60 minutes
Saturday - rest
Sunday - long run: 6 miles in the park
The poem reminded me of one I have in my classroom, Lost Generation by Jonathan Reed:
I am part of a lost generation.
And I refuse to believe that
I can change the world.
I realize this may be a shock, but
“Happiness comes from within”
Is a lie, and
“Money will make me happy”
So in thirty years, I will tell my children
They are not the most important thing in my life.
My employer will know that
I have my priorities straight because
Work
Is more important than
Family
I tell you this:
Once upon a time
Families stayed together
But this will not be true in my era.
This is a quick fix society
Experts tell me
Thirty years from now, I will be celebrating the tenth anniversary of my divorce.
I do not concede that
I will live in a country of my own making.
In the future,
Environmental destruction will be the norm.
No longer can it be said that
My peers and I care about this Earth.
It will be evident that
My generation is apathetic and lethargic.
It is foolish to presume that
There is hope.
And all of this will come true unless we choose reverse it.1 -
Good goals Warriors!
@GardenMama129 - Yes is so easy to go back to old habits for sure. Not sure how long it takes to really solidify them. I agree on sleeping habits being very hard for sure. So many distractions But we have to just continue to be mindful.
Yesterday was a great day for me, so going to try to keep it going so I can have a loss at WW on Friday.
**Goals week of 8/20/18:**
1) Log everything I eat – 1/6
2) WW blue dot day – 1/4
3) Get in the before midnight or 6 hours of sleep – 1/4
4) 7000 steps -1/3
5) take 2 ten min walks – 1/3
