    G'Morning!

Thinking I will take today and tomorrow off as "morale days." In addition to a 'slow'er' week at work - I don't actually have fall classes beginning until Monday - so this is sort of the "calm before the storm."

Steph - holy cow! Good for Ron!
Lisa must still be looking for a password

Any goat yoga participants this week?

Pool time in my future today/tomorrow.

    Cheers

    Mornin' BBB.

Too cool for pool time here. Good day for dog training though. First of the season trial this weekend. My club is hosting. Lots of big hitters will be running some really good dogs. Babe won this trial last year, hope she impresses judges again.

Congrats to Ron! Life has a way of throwing you curveballs, but sounds like all you are having to do is implement your plan a bit earlier than expected. #vanlife, #islandlife.

Put a dog to sleep yesterday afternoon that I delivered by c-section over 13 years ago. Made me feel sad and old. Entire staff sobbing with owners. After owners left, we had a toast to a life well lived.

    Rest up, Skipper.

Off to see Babe and BTG.

    Good morning.

My dad is a retired pediatrician, Lee. So, newborns he "met" doing rounds at the hospitals ended up becoming the anxious parents with their kids and grandkids later in his career. He has a picture somewhere of one of a three generation family that he took care of.

It's sad that because their life span is so much shorter than our own that you're there for the full cycle. Pediatricians have the luxury of passing them off to someone else when they get older.

Wasn't "Paging Dr. Stone" a line from a provocative movie????

    Cheers Doc Lee.

Working at the stores until lunch then start the 3 hour drive home. THere is another store on the way that I will stop by for a quick visit. They are well run so don't really need my help but it is always nice to check in, in person. Plus they installed some new graphics I haven't seen.

    Good morning BBB friends.

My brother taught in the same grade school for 46 years and had some third generation students.

When are you ever home, Steph? Your really live out of a suitcase.

Finishing up a bowl I turned for my DGD, this morning. Last time she was over she asked for her "very own bowl." I'll give it o her when we go over to watch her last swimming lesson of the summer, this afternoon.

    Good Morning,
Lunch with friends cancelled today, one of their daughters having problems. May take DW and have a day trip somewhere since DMIL is setup with senior center for day.
Room maxed out a yoga yesterday, had to turn one away; may start another class after trip.
Steph, congrats to Ron; know it can be a little unsettling to you; but trust all works out for best. And yes you may get on each other nerves more but that has a way of working itself out also. Take hint from senior developments where we have breakfast for men, ladies morning out, men have poker, ladies have bunco, men's golfing and ladies golfing. Men workout in gym while ladies do water aerobics; everyone needs space and time to their selves.
Hoping Babe out shines them all again this year.
Ran into some old friends, gee they look old and I think to myself time has not been good to them; then when shaving look in mirror and see old man with wrinkles platinum blond hair and skin spots. Shouldn't have judged others so quickly.
    Enjoy the Day,

Sam - sorry thats what you saw in the reflection - but that was funny!

At the pool with my Dad this past weekend, he took off his USMC hat long enough to dive under and cool off. He emerged and I said, "...WTF happened to your hair?" It came out sorta quick before I remembered how much thinner my mop is getting.

Aging is what it is. Can't fight it; can't slow it down; can't stop it. Embrace it!

    Cheers

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • I started the morning off by spilling a full cup of coffee on my desk. I guess the day has to get better.
    • There is only one alternative to getting older and it's not good.
    • Did you get that new PC up and running yet Lisa? Wish I was nearby so I could give you a hand.
    • These will be interesting times Steph. I remember about 10 years ago wondering if I was retired or unemployed. I ended up going back to work when the right situation came up. Everyone's situation and goals are different though.
    • Lee, I sometimes think God gave us dogs to teach us about the cycle of life.
    • I know your DGD will love the bowl Dave.
    • Enjoy your quiet lunch Sam.

Have to laugh at that aging thing. I was at the barber shop yesterday and noticed that the clippings had not a hint of brown. They looked like iron filings. Sigh. I recall when people always guessed I was much younger than I was. Now, no one makes that mistake. So it goes. I still get around better than many of my peers.

    Happy Thursday!

Gray hair? My dark hair started to show some gray at 16 yo. At 25 I started dying it back to my very dark brown natural color and have since, and I have a lot it for sure. Some day, this hair coloring shall end. Just not yet. If my older brothers hair color status is anything like mine would be, its salt and pepper, with extra salt.

Congrats to Ron, you guys have done it right with saving etc., Steph!

Your Gk's are going to cherish your wood working gifts to them, Dave. Hope you sign and date the bottoms, etc. These are real family treasures to be passed down.

First oil change for my Escape today later. 1st of the 3 free ones the salesman gave me.

Sam, a day trip with DW sounds like a great plan! Enjoy!

    Enjoy your days off, Skip

Kelly, love those bulldog puppies you posted!

Raine, doing any 115th rides? I've lot interest myself as a passenger rider.... too many nuts out on the road. Being nervous takes the fun out of it. I never used to be like that, oh well.

I finally now have doctors younger than me. I figured it was best they outlive me. Plus hopefully they are more up on new technology and medical treatments etc. Someone once told me, its not whether your doctor has an MD, its where in his class he graduated. 499th out of 500, still gets them their MD, lol. True.

Be well, be happy, be safe BBB

    Congratulations Steph and Ron!!!
Time apart makes the heart grow fonder and keeps one out of jail for murder.
Just got home from ER. Neighbor fell again walking her dog. Last time she broke ribs. This time hit her head. Gee
    Looking forward to the weekend
