Well - crushed glasses at Labor Day event yesterday! Ugh..... over 60 people attended, it was nice way to meet neighbors.
Back to the full grind today.

I just got Anabelle and dd27 off for the day. The little one was a bit grumpy this morning ... a little strong on the self-will. Contrary to her wishes, she still got a bath and had to brush her teeth. She did get out of eating most of her breakfast, though ... she may regret that one later.
I've decided I want to lose a few pounds. There is a pair of pants that I haven't worn for a few years, and I want to wear them this fall. I think it will take about 5 pounds, so that's my goal. I've had 2 great days, since I decided this. Yay! I really love Freestyle - I think it's our best program yet.

I know you were all looking for daily reports from Costco and such, but while the total number of stores hit was impressive, they were spread out, so I didn't really notice until tallying it all up in my head.
Took my nephew to the carnival this weekend so Cecilia could do some self care with funnel cake. She had braces put in on Friday, so I opted to skip the eating your feelings lecture.
I could probably go for 5 pounds too, Lisa. The cruise weight is gone, but I'm not used to lacking a cushion. That's what happens when I can't run.0 -

When I win the lottery I will buy this house on the east end of Fishers Island on Long Island Sound for our BBB reunion.
Finally hit the salt yesterday, and I actually caught a couple of fish. Now I have to find the gas leak on my boat below deck.
Lisa, are you going to up your activity or eat less or both?
Raine, big trial in Maine this weekend. Babe placed there last year too. Boat load of good dogs will be running.

I wish I wanted to drop five pounds. It's more like 25. Sigh.
Dropped the grandkids off with their parents, yesterday afternoon. I inspected the work my DS is doing, building a new back porch. I approved. He's actually doing a better job than I probably would have. He is an engineer. He reads building codes and follows them. I just do what seems right and sturdy, to me.
DW and I are heading out this afternoon, for a couple nights over on the beach. Sort of a post-holiday holiday. Going to be cool over there, but the sun will shine.0 -

Skip your glasses look like my DMIL got a hold of them, through the years she has stepped on mine, driven over a pair and dropped a concrete block on a pair.
I miss the days that I could makeup my mind to lose a few pounds and they would be gone, that was easy before 50 and so many medications.
We leave Saturday, DD is so afraid we are not going to have something we will need, she called this morning saying to look for some stuff in mail she ordered and thinks we need. I'm of opinion if it does not fit in one suitcase I do not need it.
Got beds down both sides of house mulched yesterday,
Lost $2.25 at poker last night.
It's back to laboring for those who are not like us retirees, and we appreciate your contributions,

Morning BBB
Until I saw the photo I thought crushed glasses was a way of saying the party was a success.
Continued rain yesterday and more in the forecast. We painted the kitchen ceiling. We suck at patching the part that had water damage from the leaking skylight but at least it is all one color.
Today is the only day this week I'm working with PTO the rest of the week. We have a realtor coming today to sell us on his services and that might add to our shrinking honey do list. Not really planning to sell until early spring but we want to be ready.0 -

- I guess I am between Lisa / Lou and Dave. I need to lose 10#. Most of them gained in college dining rooms this summer. Did I tell you Marymount has a soft serve ice cream machine?
- I took Raine's lead and started watching Jack Ryan on Amazon Prime last night. Oh, it's going to be good. In Ultra HD too.
- Sam, you appear to be settling into retirement quite well. I'm with you about packing. If I forget something I need I'll buy another one. Would you believe they take dollars in Alaska?!?
- I'm looking forward to the BBB reunion at your new place Lee. Remember, you have to pay to play. I hope you win.

Uugghhh Where did the summer go?
Had a great weekend and party on Sat, up til 1am with the crew! I was in bed last night at 8pm, and in the office this morning at 6:30am.
Rain, rain, rain, here and poured Monday into the evening, I left the glamper around 11am, rain was not too bad at the glamper/lake.... But you should see the damage along the Milwaukee Lake Michigan park here with all the rain and the Harley festival. HD has assured MKE that it will be fixed and grass replanted etc. this week, at their expense. Wow its really bad. Too bad they got rained out Sunday here, I bet a lot of bikers went home Sat night with this rain here. Im glad I stayed away from all that, too many people. The older I get, the less I like big crowds and long lines.
That's a great castle to hold a BBB party Lee, let us know when so we can book it!!!

Steph, good to have the house looked at now, before spring listing. Ive been watching an RV show with full timers spending $100K or more on a RV, wow! There are a lot of full time RV'rs out there, even many that still work. Not sure I'd like it. A small house is one thing, an RV is another. Even the really nice ones, imo, they aren't made for full time living, they aren't all that sturdy, i.e. windows, cabinets, plumbing, doors, etc. etc. I could be way off?
Did you sit or step on your glasses, Skip?
Lisa, how is DD1 doing ? Does she have a plan in place or just needs some time to figure her next step? Wishing her all the best, its a hard time, for sure.
