    Got a first in the mail yesterday....a royalty check from the publishers of my Dissertation. Which means someone actually paid money to read my stuff! Woot! If I can sell 235 more, I can payoff my student loans!

    We are knee deep in Hurricane preps. Cancelled my Dad's trek to DC this weekend. Its gonna be a messy one.

    A message from my boss on the hallowed memory of 9/11:

    "....we were Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines once once...and I am grateful that we are the embodiment of a combined arms organization. I am proud to serve with each of you as we work to protect our Nation."

    May we never forget.

    Heading to work via my driver. Need to get a bunch done today as I want to head out by 3 tomorrow because now we are driving my to St. Louis to meet a vp on Thursday.

    • Glad you can see again Skip. Did you get a backup pair?
    • I have a WW WI at noon. I think my last 5 days of Losing with Lisa might let me barely skim under my goal weight.
    • Yesterday I visited my friend who had the stroke last Dec. Good to see him but no improvement with the speech.
    • I was thinking last night that anyone under 20 something doesn't really remember the day that this nation was attacked by people who hate us and wanted to do as much damage as possible. I also think about the growing group of young people who think socialism is the answer to all our problems. Apparently they don't teach history in our schools anymore.

    So much to be said about the anniversary date today.
    Be safe preparing for the hurricane.
    Draining pool down getting ready to close it. All the weather for the next 10 days will be 70’s low 80’s.
    Took a nearly 4 yr old to dinner. #exhausting.
