On Cecilia's orders, I took yesterday off sick; which really just means that I worked from my home computer and was annoyed all day because I didn't have the files I needed.
I have an iPhone 3G that I still use for music when I run. And the sudoku on that phone is awesome.1 -

House update - still talking with the chef and 2 people that wanted home sale contingencies have not even listed their homes. Fingers crossed for showings this weekend.
Not sure what I am doing in terms of the new Apple phone and watch as I need a notebook since I sold my iMac last week to downsize.

A heavy rain here in rain country is an inch in 24 hours, and parts of NC might get two FEET! Yikes! Hope any loved ones or friends in that part of the country get through OK.
While I yawn at the update frenzy, I will say that I like my iPhone much more than my DW's Samsung. It is just a lot more user-friendly. There are reasons that AT&T gave her that thing for free and I had to buy mine.
Big news for me: over the last two weeks the vision in my right eye has come back! No idea why, but I can now see at a distance without glasses. For one who likes to walk in the rain, this is really great.1 -

Spoke on phone with family in Raleigh area last night, they are hunkering down and closing up the hatches and hoping today into the night isn't as much rain as they say..... The generator will keep things going for 2+ days if they need it....
Can't complain about this gorgeous weather this week here, other than the skeeters that are wicked. They chase ya right into the house and hover at the doorways, in the garage, etc. We've not had them this bad ever, that I recall.

What a day.
My bff and a bunch of others are in NC right now, fighting to stay afloat. So far everyone seems okay.
One of my leader friends (who I worked with today) lost her mom yesterday.
My amazing receptionist who thinks of herself as my pseudo-mom (the one in all my yearly at-goal photos) lost her husband this morning.
Another friend from another group had a heart attack this morning. We don't know any updates other than that.
