We have made 1/4 of the way through this challenge. Congratulations I thought I would ask what accomplishments everyone has made so far. Weight or otherwise.
I have lost 2.2 lbs so far.
I just realized my skinny day jeans fit like my fat day jeans used to!

Time flies when you're having fun!
Leebett: Skinny day jeans ... that's a great feeling, eh?
GrandMaKandy: It's done the same for me, too.
I've lost 1.4 lbs so far. My body seems to be adjusting to the new biking, I think.
What's new? My new bike which I'm really enjoying.
Here's to reaching the 50% milestone. :drinker:0 -
I'm loving this challenge!!! I have made a lot of positive changes, since starting it. Last week I lost 8.4 pounds. It's been a quite a while since I logged in everything like this, & it's make a big difference for me. I've quit going out getting donuts too! Thursday, 8/8/13 was my biggest eating day so far; but, I still achieved my goals.
I hope to see you all at the half way point!0 -
This challenge is great. It really is pushing me. I dropped out of the July Challenge - (I guess I didn't want it bad enough :-) ) But this time I feel like I am going to make it.
It is great seeing that so many people are still in and we are all encouraging each other!
I actually started making my own smoothies with protein powder today!0 -

I've been meaning to try smoothie making. Any suggestions for a first timer?0 -
I used to drink a lot of smoothies not so much lately, maybe I should get back at it.
Here are a couple smoothies to try
I use vanilla whey protein isolate without artificial sweeteners
Berry Bananalicious
1 serving whey protein isolate
2 Tblsps chia seed OR ground flax seed
6 ounces water (or 1/2 cup water and 2 ounces yogurt)
1/3 cup berry blend
1 small banana
4 to 6 ice cubes
Put ingredients in blender and blend at high speed
Strawberry Shortcake Smoothie
3/4 serving vanilla whey protein isolate
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup Liberte 10% goat yogurt plain ( i sometimes used Liberte plain greek yogurt)
1/2 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
1 tblsp chia seeds
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3 or 4 ice cubes
Blend at high speed and add extra water or ice if desired.0 -

I like the one's posted above by Moneil25
I did a pretty simple one and it worked out well
4.5 ounces of strawberries (5-6) for 41 calories
Skim Milk .5 cup for 55 calories
1/2 medium banana - for 55 calories
2 scoops of protein powder for 160 calories
1 cup of Ice
Blended the ice first. Then put in the rest (I need to use a blender better LOL)
311 calories total
Next time I am going to try almond milk etc.0
