I'm on a chat shift, but had a lull so I thought I'd get us started. How is everyone today? All ready for the costumed kiddos tomorrow night? We've got the candy (which is safely unopened and in Jim's trunk, where I cannot get to it), but I'll be working tomorrow so he'll give it out.

    Morning~

We are stocked and ready for 120 kids. Any more than that and the lights go off. We give out the full size bars (Skittles (the favorite); Reeses Cups; Starburst; Hersey Bars). Amazon had a sale about a month ago 2 for 1 on full size bars - so everything is in pantry ready for the new hood ghouls and goblins.

Yesterday was a long/busy day of catch up. Today should be a bit more routine.

    Good luck in MLS, Steph!

Hope MommaMoodly is feeling better. DS new truck looks nice! Yellow???

Did stinky AB get cleaned up?

Sam - is DMIL ready to ride her broom through the neighborhood, I mean is DMIL ready for Halloween? Whats the latest in your saga with AK dealer? Any resolution?

    Lou was killing the corduroy!

    ~Cheers

    Good Morning!

Long day yesterday, as Connie spoke to 60+ DUI offenders in Leavenworth. Got home just before 9:00.

People are on the move! Florida!

Dennis, I hope that you have a great cruise.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning.

We're giving out rocks this year. Kids never come by anyway.

Oh, I loved pop rocks as a kid. I don't think those are what Lou is givin! We have fun size bars and cool Halloween pencils to give out tomorrow. I doubt I have enough.

I got a ton of stuff to gather for our trip. Im co-hosting a Sat. night post football game party at ds1's with he and a few of his close friends. I don't get to see him and his crew enough, so we are going to gtg at his new place Sat. night after the game! (my idea). After all, the kid has made his life there, I need to get to know the people in his day to day life better....

Nice house listing Steph, amazing lower level, I could live down there! Good luck

    Enjoy your day everyone!

    Good morning BBB friends.

We will leave the lights out and head over to DS' house on Halloween. More fun to walk around with the grandkids than hand candy out at home. We used to drive down the Oregon Coast every Halloween, juts to avoid the day. Haven't handed out candy in at least 10 years. What is the Halloween equivalent of Scrooge?

DDIL dropped those same grandkids off last night. She'll pick them up this afternoon.

    Mornin' BBB.

Just in from AB training at local soccer field. I set out six 5 gallon buckets in two lines about 35 yds apart, staggered, and then send AB around each bucket and then at the last bucket, or bucket #6, she gets rewarded with a bird dummy. Its a drill that reinforces the running pattern in the field and it keeps the dog checking in with the handler. We make it fun.

Yes, Babe and Tess got baths on Sunday. Babe smells much better.

Gorgeous home, Steph. I agree with Mary, you could just live in the lower level.

We just don't get trick or treaters on our little farm road. We actually have some little kids in the neighbor hood now. So maybe we should be prepared.

    BBB OP ;-)

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • Small men's group at church this morning.
    • I had to do some FB detective work to find your house pictures Steph (I'm not a regular). It's a beautiful home and a great job of de-cluttering.
    • I am not a Halloween fan. Fall Festivals are great but never understood the fascination with Halloween.
    • No trick or treaters in this over 55 community. We do have Howl-a-ween for the dogs.
    • To all those passing through Columbus, OH this week enjoy your trips.
    • I guess I need to start thinking about packing for the cruise.

hard to hide the evidence when it hangs out of the corner of your mouth (wasn't that a line from a movie?)

Hi all. I'll post the house link later for those of you not on FB. Or Google 655 antelope in papillon. We do pretty much live in the basement. Ron wanted to build a second master down there but I didn't want to give up the storage space.

New store is finally shaping up. Need to do a few last minute things then opening for the press and chamber members and employees (and anyone who walks up) at 5 then open all day tomorrow with ribbon cutting on Thursday.

Beautiful home, Steph! Did you find a short term rental? I'd love to live in the downtown Omaha town square. LOVE that vibe down there!

    Good Evening,
Sat through several classes at middle school, then spent couple of hours at BOE; end result is November 1 I'll be employed by school system. Can understand why they have hard time getting subs. Reckon its like WW, folks really don't do it for the money.
Went to my first American Legion meeting last night, thought of you Dennis; honoring Boy's State and Girl's State students that went to State. They meet 4 times a year, Lion's club building. Dennis will send you their schedule.
70's today will be near 80 tomorrow for Halloween.
DW has Halloween candy hide in our closet, found it couple of weeks ago. Don't know why she did not get chocolate in case any left I could eat. In other words could be rocks as far as I'm concerned.
Driving DW to doctor tomorrow, then yoga before greeting kiddies and passing out bad candy.
How is Kelly? hope feeling better!
    Hope DD18 is fully recovered
DMIL was gone for several hours this afternoon, more than likely flying around hassling neighbors, her car was here; maybe practicing for tomorrow.
Still no response to certified letters.
    Enjoy the Day,
    Sam I am

Sadly like Dave and others it will be lights out here too. No candy bought and really we get very very few trick-or-treaters and not from our neighborhood.
