Hi everyone. So.. we made it in to MFP... Yay!
Let's introduce ourselves. Just share as much or as little as you like!
Personal stuffs: I am 40 and I live in California. I am married, work full time, also go to school, also have 4 kids (though split custody).
Rainbow stuffs: Lesbian, she/her/hers, late bloomer at 34
Weight loss stuffs: I have been overweight since I was a kid. I go up and down through the years but always still overweight. Between Jan-April of this year I lost about 30 lbs, the most I ever lost at once. I really believed I could do it. Running was my main exercise. Then, I hurt my ankle and knee. I had to stop running and I foolishly thought I could just maintain the diet without tracking or anything. The weight started creeping back. I though I had gained it all back until last Friday when I weighed myself. I am happy I am still down about 15 pounds overall. But, I need to get back on track. I have been semi-tracking and mostly eating well. I have been walking more and hope that I can eventually run again.
Next steps for me: I am struggling with tracking because, well, it's difficult and seems like it's time consuming. I am going to keep walking, though it sucks walking indoors right now due to all the smoke. Overall I am making an effort but not going 100% like I should be. I need to stay focused... and that's why I came here to write this message!

Hello hello! It's great to see people joining the group and being supportive.
I am 33 from AZ and queer. Single and unsure if kids are for me.
Always been overweight growing up. A few years ago I was about 65 lbs down and doing great. Work became stressful and my ongoing anxiety issues got worse. The weight crept back up and now I'm struggling to get back down to that weight. The holidays are definitely difficult as there are all kinds of sweet treats (my weakness) around readily available from friends and family. I need to step up my self-control and make better choices.
I'm not much for one to go to the gym. I previously lost the weight by counting calories and taking long walks/short jogs. I know I can do it again. Consistency is key!
I'm thinking of purchasing a treadmill since my second shift work schedule has me going on my walks either early in the morning (night owl here) or late at night.1 -
Hello!
I am a 39 year old Lesbian, born a woman and love being one, thought I was supposed to be with men and got pregnant at 19, now my son is 2nd year university. I stayed single most of my life and it's time for me to make friends, live as my true self and start taking care of my body. I want to love myself as fiercely as I love others. Very excited to have found this group.0
