...seeing the way that first team defense played had me cringing! The experts on tv say the problem was missed tackles. I say the problem is the scheme. I've never been a fan of the 3-4 defense because I believe it's susceptible to the run, which is what occured last night. Yes, it's a passing league, unless you allow a team to rush for 248 yards. Defensive bright spots: Brandon Boykin and Vinnie Curry. Ballers!
Offensively, I was pleasantly surprised! I liked the play calling, which I struggled with during the Andy Reid era. I love Big Red but there was too much passing. Maybe I didn't give Kelly and his staff enough credit but the season hasn't started yet. I'll cool my jets for now but I liked what I saw.
